I have guys come in up at the dealership I work at saying they will give 5 grand over MSRP. As soon as we get them they are sold. We have 2 more comming in. both 2SS's. Our 1SS is going out today we have. They are definitely in demand. Keep burning the 93 octane.

The only rescue I want to hear about is the rescue of GM from Government control.. I am glad the Camaro is selling well, it is a testament to old GM's ingenuity and hard work in getting such a great product made and delivered.. with the new Green standards, I don't think the revival of the Camaro would have happened under the new leadership..

Well lets just hope these "green standards" does not affect the Camaros performance in the future like back in 1971 when the muscle car era died.

Mr. Wilbur said the Camaro has improved his impression of G.M. to the point where he has put a deposit down on a Chevrolet Volt, the hybrid-electric model due out next year.
Dealers?? Hello?? Are you reading this??

This is why gouging your customer is a BAD idea. It is called FUTURE SALES.

The guy that has not gone GM in 10 years turfs his hybrid import and goes GM again. AND now wants ANOTHER GM product.

Again....lesson....dont screw the customer for a short term profit.

They were talking LS and 1SS pricing,,,pretty good spin for a mass media article...especially the NY Times "Can be had for [base V6 & V8 MSRP's]"...is a good way to present it.

It is a good way to present it- totally misleading like the media always is...

It specifically says "...and up to $32,000 for the loaded V-8 model". The 1SS is not the "loaded" V8.

Interesting, over 9,300 Camaro's sold in the month of June alone, more than Buick or Cadillac.

I hope this really is the return of GM, when our family has bought American (over 90% of the time), we've bought GM exclusively since 1920.

Nice article.

If they hit the halfway point on their overal yearly sales forcast for the year, there is a strong possibility of a second shift added if the hype doesent die off any time soon.

then again, it's all rumours flying around
