From the angle that knife went in, there is no way you just happened to run over it on the road.. They would have been better off using a nail and hammering it in..Who knows what else they have done to your car..Check all the bolts to see if any have been loosened before driving it around. You are dealing with some lowlife scum, probably the person you got mad at that day when you refused. IO wouldn't doubt it if they all decided and are in on it as well to tell you "the original price" so you'd come back just to make you buy a new tire. There is one thing, you can check insurance records to see if this type of thing has happened before to other customers...I knife in the wheel.. Hopefully those guys only damaged your tire though and nothing else.. What a PITA..

Um, if the knife went in like that when you were driving...I think you'd notice.

Hate to say it you got ****ed. I had holes worse than that patched from the inside on tires of similar size no problem.

Id raise hell at the stereo shop to pay for it.... You spent more on the F-ing tire than the install!

Well, there are really two possibilities here:
1. They drove over a knife moving in and out of their shop=their fault.
2. They were screwing around in your car and drove over the knife=their fault.

If all they did was move the car to the installation area, then it is definitely their fault for leaving something like that laying around. If they drove it around-not that anyone would do that to this car-then it is still their fault. Did you check the mileage on the car before and after you dropped it off?

good grief--what is wrong with these people? Why are there jerks doing these bad things to the Camaro? Oh yeah, and the installer, mechanic, etc. always have a disclaimer that they are not responsible for any damage done to the car, or items stolen from the car which is complete and utter B.S.! This just gives them to right to practically take what they want or damage the car and then say that they are not responsible and no way to prove that they did it. I hate that. And believe me, if I am getting any work done to my Camaro involving dropping it off and being out of my site, I will have the odometer number written down in my pocket each and every time and if they have taken it out on the street without my authorization, there will be hell to pay.

Damn, that scares me about how much one tire cost you, not even including the ridiculous price for the install!

I'm thinking that you complaining about the extra $75 for the install just cost you a lot more!

Sounds like a 'Chinese' mafia wanted to send you a gift..expensive stereo system nonetheless. Sheetrock(wood) screws were my culprit on past do-it-yourself installer days..

Now, you can get a patch put on that 'spare' tire now..

See, that s exactly what I want, some thing for the perfect situation in a song. I agree with you about sounding muddy and really deterating the music. I guess you could compare it to a concert and cd, just like seeing a picture of the camaro vs seeing it real life. Concert s often sound distorted for probable the reason you are addressing.

TAG UR IT,

Are you the guy with the Tom Henry Camaro? If so, I'd like to PM with you sometime...

With regard to the knife, I have had very similar-looking knife damage done to one of my vehicles. I doubt it was intentional. Doesn't it look like the blade had bee run over many times before it penetrated your tire?

I think it's pretty obvious that if you had picked up that knife whille driving...you'd have noticed and it certainly would not have been sticking in the tire....
