I would suggest correcting the quarter tank for those that are supercharged or heavily n/a. The location of the fuel pump combined with a solid launch could cause the fuel pump to starve. Minimum requirement is a half tank, but as mentioned in another post 3/4 or full is preferred

Damn I had some stuff written up and backed out of it so now I have to retype it...well someone can haha, here is the points I had
-Turn A/C Off before getting to the staging lanes, preferably before you even get to the track -Get out of groove and stop incase of a break -Practice Practice Practice -Deep Staging -Bracket Racing(Dial in and break out) -Heads up racing -Classes |

I do this everytime. I index race the same way. Doesn't matter which way you are doing it as long as your consistent. If you dial in with a time shallow stagging you'll prob be slower with staging deep.

Excellent post. Good refresher for those who have never done a drag race or hasn't been to the track in a long time (like myself). For those with autos, what do most favor to turn off in terms of the nannies to get the best times?

The last pass I made was in 1979... And at NEW ENGLAND DRAGWAY they had Wednesday nite grudge racing...it was 2.00 to race as many times as you could...that's no typo 2 bucks !!! What does it cost nowa days ???
