LOL. RS is an appearance trim package, nothing else. no one cares about the build count - it has no rarity. there are too many thousands out there to care.

If I painted my cyber grey camaro kinetic blue, that wouldn't make it a kinetic blue camaro either, right ??

...get lost

If you're talking about the OEM badge, I think you can use your same grill and just get the bracket and emblem. If this link works scroll down to the image of the grill and it'll be numbers 4 & 5

edit: link didn't work, but here's the picture anyways

Did you use genuine GM parts? If you didn't then you guys can say all you want but it's still not an RS. You can put the badge on the car but anyone that knows the Camaro will know it's a fake.

You can't expect to but a badge on your car that doesn't belong on it and not get called out on it.

I hope you don't try to sell it as an RS. I would hate to know you passed off a fake RS as the real thing. Just tell the new owner, they probably won't care.

For the V6 models, RS is marketed as an appearance package but it is also a speed package. The governor on the RS is set for 155 mph max versus 118 mph on the non-RS. It would require a warranty voiding tune to completely convert a non-RS v6 to an RS level V6.

I added the stock GM RS wheels. I upgraded to brighter halo's from oracle instead of the stock ones however. All the exterior work is done on it and I have the RS logo in the back. I just need the one for the front as I stated in my original post because my shop said they didn't have a place to put it.

I won't. I'm 16 (let the teen hate begin now) and we always buy cars from Texas Direct Auto (Shout out to them, they're awesome) so when I am done with my car, I will trade it back into them and buy a new one. No worries there, I'm not looking to scam anyone

I don't care about that. I'm not reckless. I won't pass 118 at any point.

I guess this means I can put Z/28 on my 2LT. Not

It's your Car you paid for it Do it like you want, just don't be surprised when someone calls you out on it.
Just because you put all the parts on the car, dose not make it an RS.
The tag in the trunk definds the Car.

Well my car has everything that an RS has. I don't care if it wasn't stock. How will anyone see my car and call me out on it? There is no way for anyone to know unless they went up to my car and checked the vin number. If someone wants to do that, have fun and It's time to find a hobby. Putting z/28 on an lt and putting RS on an lt with the entire RS package on it is not comparable.

LOL this thread is funny,
there are some options on putting that logo in the grill like other members said, its your car do whatever you want for it, just dont get bothered by the comments lol, also if im not mistaken, the ls tailights are way lighter than the rs? making them look like a bright red? i believe that might give it away without the vin number ? just saying, ive seen alot, i have a zl1 front but still have my rs badges on and proud

It's more than that. For starts you've got a body colored antenna and the trim on the top is black on non-RS, body colored on RS as well. Unless I missed it you said you added just halos to the lights right? Well the RS package headlights look different besides just the halos. If you replaced the headlights themselve just disregard this comment.

Personally I don't like adding a badge to a car saying it's something it's not but I know a guy who added stuff to make it comparable to the RS package and hold no ill will against him, it's just a personal thing for me.

Technically I did something like that. I have a 2013 1LT in Crystal Red. (can't upload pics since I'm on a work computer) I added (all carbon fiber vinyl) racing stripes, lower door spears, hash decals, front bumper and hood blackout decals, gill decals and to make it my own and unique I also added the GM Autobot emblem on the side below camaro, replaced the camaro with the flatter gloss black letters and added the "Transformers" in the transformer language on both sides on the blackout panel on the front. It's obviously not a Transformers edition, wrong year, color, stripes etc, but I still added the autobot symbol.
