I know the front edge of my pans currently come real close to the bowtie indent where I, like a number of people on here, have an $125 EmblemPros piece. I'm concerned, apparently justifiably, that the new pans would extend a bit into that area.

In that case you would probably want to stick with the ones you have.

Hey Steve, I still trying to figure out how this works. I can see the water channel but it looks from the pic once it all together that heat can't come thought the top because the splash pan is there. The new pans have the 4 vet holes but the splash in on top of it. Also is there room for my Led's ?

No biggie. It's great that you're still trying to improve your product but I think most people, especially those who are just considering the vents but don't have them, overstate the rain/water "problems" caused by the current design. I live in Greater Cincinnati and we get our share of rain and snow and I wash my car regularly and I've never had any real problem with excess water "inundating" my engine compartment.

The strut brace clearance is something we still need to test. It should clear, we just need to confirm it.

The splash plate sits 1/4" above those 4 vent holes (on standoffs/pegs), which allows air to pass up through the holes and around it.

If you screened the hex pattern onto the splash pan deflector, you could remove the hex vents from the top cover and lower the price. Alternately, make the deflector flat black standard so that it becomes invisible.

Is this because the pan is left bare metal?

If such is the case, why not paint them black?

I would of thought the pans would come in black as standard equipment.

Are the new ones the same size as the old? If I were to upgrade would it be a direct swap?
