I knew what you were asking--for an x-plan equivalent. X plan pins are fairly easy to come by on Blue Oval News, etc, but the same situation doesn't seem to apply in GM world. At any rate, as another poster said, I think you'd have a bit of difficulty finding a dealer to take the discount.

I have a dealer that will do the discount, just have to get the discount. However, since the manual SS camaros on hold now it looks like it doesn't matter as I would never own an slushomatic sports car.

guys take it easy on him....he's just looking for a deal. In this economy I can't blame him....just don't get anyone fired!!

If it helps, I just found out the Credit Union discount now applies to 2010 Camaro. Easy to join one and it can save over $1K. Dealer has to accept it though! Good luck.

P.S. If anyone is related to me, I'll take the discount too!!

I am a member of a credit union where can you find the list of qualifying and participating credit unions.

Oh and as a side note, I am amazed at how much flames I have gotten for just asking for what everyone else on the forum would love to ask to. I mean people on this forum ask as though i am cheating GMC when if anything I am simply not allowing the dealer to make as much money off the car from what they bought the car from GMC for. It is a shame that dealerships even exist, I would rather cut out the middle man and have company representatives sell the cars directly to the citizens thus eliminating greedy car salesman, but hey that'll never happen in America as it's all about making money at all cost.

there are plenty of people out there that have switched around a Gm discount, who really cares, its not illegal and the worst thing is that somebody got fired, but that would never happen. Shoot GM is getting a sale, i dont know why people are so bent. but anyways you get get a family discount which is only immediate family, and a friends discount, which is two different things. But as far as the family discount goes, I know for a fact they dont care, all they care about is the authorization number. Besides my last name being the same as my dads, there is no other proof ive given.

most of us GM fans are aware u can't really cheat the system, so nobody in this forum would ask.

and why shouldn't the dealer make $$$$$$? we call it "authorized distribution" around these parts. he's entitled to make a living much like you!

ummmm.........no, there's not plenty of people switching GMS discounts and since when is it not the "worst thing" for someone getting fired?

ur name being the same as ur dad doesn't count. what does count is the authorized family members that the employee lists out in the GM database. so when u want a new car, they call in and get the number which is married to ur name for that purchase. if anyone other than that person signs as the buyer on anything.........it's the employees ass and forgery is illegal which is what he would have to do to be able to drive off the lot.

if he has a dealer willing to try this scam........i'm not sure who the bigger idiot is.....

You are lucky to find a dealer willing to accept the gm supplier discount. I asked my dealer and he said no. But they are charging MSRP.

GM has GMS and Supplier Discounts..........neither of which u will qualify for. try the Credit Union/Grad/Military Discounts. Most dealers are not accepting them however........yeah.........nope sorry...

and i'll bet GM will exclude the Camaro as well as Vette in any discount for everyone promotion.

i do know where there's a few 2SS manuals available now at MSRP (or less).......but since ur trying so hard to screw the system as well as a hard working employee, go drive that GT500 u seem so unhappy with.

Wow if all Chevrolet owners and clubs were this arrogant and bullheaded, I think i would stick with the Ford people. Damn, its a camaro not a goldmind limited edition production car. Never have bought a Chevrolet product, but the new camaro had me possibly thinking about it. It is sad to see that why so many Americans are suffering from a bad economy, they are still Americans paying way over stick for the camaro just as they did for the gt500.

Supplier: https://www.gmsupplierdiscount.com/ip-gmsupplier/

Credit Union: https://www.exclusivegmoffer.com/ip-...do?program=cud

You may qualify for Supplier but they both are the same amount off MSRP.

Just wondering, if my dad works for a supplier, can I get the supplier discount? or is it only for the employee?
