Mine will stops working once and awhile also but my fuse is always in. I just pull it and put it back. I took it to the dealer but It was always during a hot spell and I wanted Ac so I reset it. They can find anything wrong. I have since found s SB about it so next time it happens ill take it back with the SB.

What is the service bulletin? Do you have a link to it?

•A/C - Diagnostic Tip for Various Concerns and DTC U1510

# PIC5965: Diagnostic Tip - Various Heating and Cooling Concerns With HVAC Control Module DTC U1510 - (Feb 19, 2014)
Subject: Diagnostic Tip - Various Heating and Cooling Concerns With HVAC Control Module DTC U1510

Models: 2014 Chevrolet Camaro

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern

Some customers may comment on a wide variety of HVAC concerns for the vehicle listed above. During diagnosis, a technician will find a current or history DTC U1510 set in the K33 HVAC Control Module. This DTC will set for a loss of communication with the A20 Radio / HVAC controls on the LIN Bus.

Recommendation/Instructions

It has been found through warranty reviews that many HVAC modules have simply been reprogrammed for various HVAC issues if the original customer's concern was not able to be duplicated in the dealership setting. While there is an updated calibration for the HVAC module in these vehicles, by performing an update alone, this will not address the loss of communication DTC that was set in the system. In many cases the vehicle was returned to the customer with only the update being performed.

Instead, dealership technicians are asked to carefully inspect the connections at the HVAC control module, which is located next to the blower motor under the passenger side of the dash. Carefully inspect both connectors to make sure they are fully seated. Then, inspect terminal tension using the appropriate diagnostic test probes; currently J-35616-16 (L-GN) and J-35616-64B (L-BU) for connectors 1 and 2, respectively. Replace any loose terminals as needed.

If no issues are found, flex the wiring harness in an attempt to duplicate the concern with the system. If still no issues are found, technicians are to carefully remove the radio faceplate from the radio itself and check the direct connections at that location.

Warranty Information

For wiring repairs covered under warranty, please refer to latest version of bulletin 10-00-89-005 for warranty information on wire/connector repairs.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

Stopped at dealer while this was happening so they could see it in real time and not try to reproduce it at a service appt. 2 Techs seems miffed about it so have appt to get it checked this coming week. Seems to be an issue that GM needs to start looking at. My dealership guys were awesome today - have confidence all will be great after appt. - they've always treated me incredibly well when I've gone in there.

UPDATE ON SERVICE APPT:
GM has a bulletin out on this, but basically it's to do a hard battery reset and suggested cycling the key, they did a software update also. Although, a temp resolution - the controls can crap out again and at that point, dealer said to bring it in again. Interesting enough, the controls worked after the car had sat for a couple hours when I got home, started it up and all was normal. Mentioned an open relay, mechanic didn't think that would be it due to the computer board that runs the controls. I guess it's just a waiting game to see if this happens again or not.

Seems like this is going on for me right now.. I got nervous cause I installed a few things this Past week.. but then after reading all these posts about this same issue It made more sense that this might be whats going on.. .

i checked the fuse and its normal.. When I remove it and put it back in.. I hear the Fans kick on... NO lights on the knobs and turning them will not do anything..

The Hazard lights button still works and the unlock as well... So its Def not the Pac unit... the weird thing is that the Pac unit will not Show the Logo when the Car starts .. its like its all out >>>

When you say Hard Battery reset... do you mean just unplug the Negative Cable ?

Do I have to goto The Trunk again to do this lol or is there Something i can do under the hood ? Thank you

I have a 2010 camaro 75,000 miles that is doing the same thing Radio is on and climate control is on the settings it was on before the radio and Climate controls stopped working. I tried pulling fuses and disconnected the battery cables and still nothing. I took it to the chevy dealership and they diagnosed it and said it needed a new PA center stack was the part. $900 fix does anybody know what they are referring too? they said it was not the radio module or the front control panel. I have looked at diagrams and can not find anything named this. Any help appreciated.
