Camaro Z/28 multimatic suspension to be used in upcoming Mercedes AMG SLC

I smell something coming... Had an interesting conversation the other month with a suspension company and it was mentioned something better than the existing top-end coil-over possible out (soon?). I didn't want details since I spent too much $$$$ these past couple months, but I wouldn't be surprised...

Let the rumors start flying... nudge nudge wink wink

I hear ain't gonna be cheap, but it's not that crazy $$$$$, too... relatively speaking.

Maybe others will chime in.

They're NOT electronic, like the MRC. To do a proper job, you'd need to replicate the Z/28 suspension SYSTEM, part-by-part. For that, you'll likely need an AMEX Black...

I'm sure the shocks will be GM-available, eventually, but they're only 4 components of a true "system".

Man, I miss the Players series. I used to marshall at Mosport back in those days (when me, and my partner in crime weren't fielding a half-arses attempt in the Honda Michelin Series). Loved those Camaros, and great, close racing. Fun all around.

I know right. People make it sound like Mercedes drove the Z/28 and decided to go this route. Mercedes probably had this in the works years ago.

However, I like that AMG and team
Camaro arrived at the same solution indepedently.

I did not say that GM designed the technology did I?

My point is that it is cool how technology on what is roughly a $60k car is also used on $100k+ cars.

Just like the ZL1's magnetorheological shocks which WERE created/designed by GM and then Ferrari and many other more expensive car manufacturers began using that technology

Different companies pioneer different technology whether it is Ferrari GM or a small private company in Canada...
