My recommendation would be to try a different dealer. I have been having this annoying chirp/squeek coming from what sounds like the right front of my car. I took it in to my local dealer and after an hour and a half of waiting, all I was told was we heard the noise, put it up on the lift to inspect it and when they put it back down to go for a test drive again, they couldn't replicate the noise. Even though they said they didn't fix anything, the noise was gone. As soon as I got back on the road, the noise started right up again. I called to bring it back in and they never returned my phone call. I took it to a different dealer today and after about a half day they have determined it is the right front strut.

Maybe we're talking about a different whine, but when I had my V6, around 40mph under normal acceleration, it would make a whining noise, too. If I let off the gas, it would stop. I never got it looked at because I didn't think it was anything crazy. It did that from the minute I drove it off the lot with 4 miles on it. Weird...

I know it's a differential I had the same problem and it was loudest in 4th gear...it was a huge hassle for me and I was without my car for a solid month...GM did make it right by filling the tank up and reimbursing my car payment for the month but it was a huge hassle

They ended up replacing the ring gear, pinion, all bearings, etc. I haven't heard any noises since then and have put about 1100 miles since.

Hi BrunSS,

I am sorry to hear this. Have you previously spoken with our customer service department? If you could please provide your full contact information, VIN, and name of involved dealership, I can speak with your dealership for further information. Thank you!
