Yeah sure. I drive a ZL1 now but my last Camaro was a 2011 2SS LS3. It had Texas S&P long tube headers 1 7/8, cam was Texas S&P 231/236 (it was a small one to keep the car street friendly), SLP Loud Mouth 2 exhaust, Roto-Fab Induction, and Nitto Invo tires with Hurst wheels, and BMR sway bars. How it sounded at idle. Click the picture for video. ![]() On the dyno full throttle. Click the picture for video. ![]() That 2SS was loud. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What my 2SS looked like before I sold it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() http://www.texas-speed.com/ https://www.speeddawg.com/ http://www.slponline.com/ http://www.bmrsuspension.com/ Depending what your goals are you will need to choose your mods carefully. For me I wanted a strong car that was good in the corners but was still street friendly to deal with traffic. That's why I bought the mods I did, wasn't going so much for over the top power but a drive-able car in Chicago traffic that was powerful enough to make you smile. I wound up with 455 HP from the dyno at Speed INC but went to a ZL1 when I decided to start hitting the track. Are you going to compete at the track? Or just have some street fun? Do you love running the corners? What kind of handling do you want/need? Whats your budget? Do you want a loud muscle car? Or more on the quiet side? Have those questions answered before you call a vendor so they can recommend the parts that will better serve you. I let the pros take me where I needed to go and just spilled cash when it came time to pay the bills. The Texas S&P LTH's 1 7/8 will get you some horsepower as well as having that guttural rumble from a V8 engine people love so much. Will save you some money to. Mine were around $800. BMR sway bars will hold you down in the corners as long as you don't drive like a maniac. You'll feel the difference and can take some really good speed through a turn. Within reason of course. Mine were $300. Hurst wheels are heavy but wide. 20x9 front, 20x11 in the rear. The Nitto Invo's were great for traction on the street. You'll get mixed reviews on those though. http://www.nittotire.com/ Roto-Fab is a popular air induction system here on the forum. Somewhere around $350 to $400 depending which one you buy. A little extra HP will be added and your engine will be breathin. K&N is a cheaper option. http://www.roto-fab.com/ http://www.knfilters.com/cold_air_intakes.htm I'm running a ZL1 now and Nickey in Chicago mods my car for me. 2" Kooks long tube headers and an AirRaid filter with a tune. Got me over 600 hp. |
