Did you preorder (when)? And was it for MSRP or above. AND did they honor the original deal? Because at least 2 people from this forum experienced completely different scenarios for vehicles they had been waiting on for months. So what did you think of the IBM 2SS? I would have test drove it if they wouldn't have put it in the showroom already. It is exactly everything I want minus the manual transmission. I know how to drive a stick but not sure I want to deal with a stick as my daily driver, especially when I get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic.

Checked out boardwalk chevy and finally saw the car in person. They had a 2SS in blue with stripes, and a 1LT in crimson red. Was disappointed they would not let me test drive since I need to fill out a credit application to even take a test drive. Sounded ridiculous, but otherwise car felt solid. A lot bigger in person. Definitely need a 2LT with RS package but the problem here was that they don't plan on getting a good stock in until end of year, they were trying to charge 5K markup from MSRP, the interest rate was 8%, and to actually order the one I want will take 4 months which is not possible as I need a car asap.
A few other dealers I called had said similar things.

Sadly, looks like my plan to get a Camaro is falling through, and I may have to revert to a Euro car which was not my plan.

They order at MSRP if you go with them. The 5k markup is only for cars they have on the lots.

They don't let you test drive unless you're a prospective buyer to keep the miles low.

You can easily go through a credit union and get like 3-5% interest rate for financing. GMAC is super high, it's not the dealer though.

I ordered mine from Novato Chevrolet in Novato. Northbay of Boardwalk CHevrolet, they are ordering for $1,000 over MSRP, I am #3 right now, if you have not heard I jumped ship from John L to order from them, and I am moving along very quickly, in fact I would have been pulled for production next Thursday had the issue with the M6 tranny not come up, but now it looks like I am a week behind unless they get two allocations next week. for me the $1000 extra to have it sooner is worth it, when I spoke with Boardwalk they were 5-6 months out... but I think Novato is that far out now too if you order from them. Tim Boothe, very nice guy from Boardwalk. Or Paul Galassi from Novato. He is a nice guy too. Him and his Gen. Sales Manager Mark have been very helpful so far! and let me bug them often. (gotta make them work for the $1k LOL)
