120 miles on my Apex can (on the ZL1). Not a dang drop. Hmm. Maybe gotta rack up more miles.

Every engine is different in terms of how much blow by they see but in general the LSA seems to be a lot tighter than the LS3 and L99. This is what our ZL1 development car saw at 250 miles.

This was at 800 miles.

And this was at 1100.

Versus only 350 miles on the LS3.

I have the RX can. I'd give it an "ok". Pain to empty, the wing nut is too sharp, tough to get your hands around. That being said it works. The ones that unscrew look good.

I finally bought one even though I have the 1LE system. My goals are:

1. Improve idle from occasional misfire to no misfire
2. Keep the ECU in the premium table as it seems to constantly fluctuate performance wise despite always filling with premium. I also had some pinging when accelerating.

Also nice to keep the intake clean, but I see that more of a side affect.

So far (1 week and about a tank of gas), both 1 and 2 seem to have been resolved. The catch can condensing media is soaked with oil but the catch area is dry. I don't really care about quantity as long as 1 and 2 are resolved.

Time will tell. As a side note, I have had 2 Land Rovers and both came stock with big oil separators on top of the valve covers similar to the 1LE system, except full of more condensing media (metal shavings). I installed the Apex catch can, and it is well done in design and the mounting location is more optimal than the other cans IMO.

Also: the 1LE system helped with 1 and 2, but did not completely resolve them. When I pull the separator off of the oil fill neck, you can see the trails of oil that had dripped down from the separator.
