LOL; I'm not talking about crappy tack-on-looking ones though. I'm hoping someone can come out with a bodykit or something for the rocket panels; something like I've noticed on older Roushs and newer GTOs. I'd love to have molding rocket extensions and tips poking out just in front of the rear tires. Even if no one comes out with anything, I'll be seriously looking at fabricating something. I would've tried with my '02, but my SLP SFCs are in the way and there isn't really any place for the mufflers. Maybe, with dual exhaust, and IRS, there won't be crap like torque arms in the way to make it easier.
Please, please, please...

are you runnin a cat back system? swap to true duals and route them down each side, instead of going straight to the back, get a low-profile muffler, you could even get oval exhaust tubing to save space under the car as well, then route them out the side

Regarding my '02, I am running a Borla catback. I don't like the clearance of true duals, and my Spohn TA just adds to the clutter under the car to make true duals possible. I wish I could, but there's no room. I'll definately be considering the set-up you described for the new car though

I heard that they will offer the big exhaust tips, a HUGE spoiler on the trunk and some SICK graphics on this 4 banger.
No seriously folks, I owned a escort with a four cylinder and it was a "peppy" little car. They are trying to apeal to every one the can, I can say I don't blame them. |

I agree too, some things are just not meant to be. Taking this Camaro back to it's muscle car roots and then putting in a 4 banger and a fart can is just plain blasphemy! What's next........are we going to put pants on the statue of liberty?

ugh.
for those of you against the 4 cyl. You are so missing the point. The camaro needs to dominate the market. And by market I mean the entire market. Not just the GT500 class, or even the broader V8 class. This car has the potential to be all things performance. Whether its the Ricer crowd, the 30 something economy minded crowd, or the SS / Z28 gang. You tell me another car that has a legitimate shot at crossing over into so many other demographics. I don't think you can. Certainly not one that has a price range from the high teens to the low forties. If a company came to any of us and asked, "We think we should make the camaro as diverse as possible so we can be the most sought after performance car on the streets, We want all types of performance junkies to see something they like in this camaro, what do you think?" You all know that your answer would be, "Brilliant!" So quite acting like a bunch of freshman frat boys who think the camaro is an exclusive club. We complain about the inability of GM to meet CAFE requirements, and when they finally hit one out of the park we bitch about how they swing the bat. If it were me, I say GM needs an entire ad campaign dedicated to the ricer crowd. Build on the cobalt customers they already have and try to win over the Neon crowd left hanging by Dodge.

im thinkin...damn, he must have missed a shift or something. so i slow down again and pull beside him. i figure ill start it off, i glance over as i honk the first time and he's shaking his head??? then i heard it... his exhaust. freakin riced out fart can sound. im thinkin wtf? so we take the next exit and come to a stop light. i yell out to him and asked what he had under the hood, he said a v-6. i started laughing my ass off cus he's got his v-6 mustang with a freakin fart can sounding exhaust and gt badges. i told him, "if you wanna sound like a weed eater and think that badges and stickers will make you faster, go buy a civic. if you wanna hang with the big boys you need the v-8 rumble" as i did a burnout takeoff to show him what a muscle car is supposed to sound like but back on track, the smaller motors are whats going to keep this car alive. with everyone freaking out about gas prices and whatnot, gm has to do a smaller motor in the base models to keep production high. funny part about it is, 90% of these people who bitch about gas prices drive big 'ol suv's and while they will complain about spending $3.00 for a GALLON of gas, they wont hesitate to spend $5.00 on a 12 oz cup of mocha capa-frapa-crapachino. i wish everyone would drive prius' it would save more gas for me
