If they offered Synergy Green on the '14 SS I'd have ordered it.

A dealer near me has a BRM 2014 1LS. It is still the only 2014 camaro other than mine (Red Hot 1LT/RS) that I have seen... not one other than that one.

I do the ordering for my dealership (Fayetteville NC) and how things are decided upon are market based. We have a report that is generated that has many statistics for the Raleigh market and then another for the Southeast US and in the short... we input the allocated amount and it "recommends" what to order. The particular colors you mentioned in your post are the dominate colors for the Raleigh market. The dealer has the decision on what the final order will be regardless of the report.... I've always said... we can't change the "recommended" colors if it tells everyone to order the same colors.

Me... I'm one of these that like different... so I have just about the entire color lineup for Camaro on our lot or on the way. I'm currently awaiting a 14 BRM with the blue interior... it's on the way to us now.

We still have four or five 2012 models and several 13's on the lot. We can't hardly give the 12s away.

I ran into the same problem. I swear that dealers only believe that cars come in black or silver. I ended up settling on black with my Raptor for the same reason.

What is with the dealer lack of color selection?

Dealers only order what they think is most likely to sell. It makes rare colors rarer because they look at sales by color and see a lot of silver and black and not so much green, yellow, or red. They then proceed to order more black and silver cars.

The market tends to prefer conservative colors, so that reinforces this choice. Not everyone has a bold enough personality to drive Victory Red.

Precisely why I ordered mine. All the Camaro's on the lot had sun roofs, were black, silver or red and dark interiors non of which were a preference to me. I understand why a dealer stocks what they do as most people just want to blend in, instead of, hey look at me.
