Long answer:
I like mine Matte. Some of us use our cars as a daily driver, and consequently, aren't able to wash/wax/clean our cars as often/diligently as others. This means we have to deal with some brake dust build-up on the wheels. Granted, I clean mine as often as I can, but it also means my car can go a month or two between washings.

Short Answer:
Brake dust is matte/satin, and if you don't clean your car as often as others, it will make your shiny wheels look like $hit.
