The car with the filler for the mail slot and the "Z28" hood is from SLP. I personally don't like the filler unless you had a body shop use body filler to fill in the gaps and smooth it out. With a smoothed nose the Ram Air hood would look killer. I don't think the hood is available yet, but I'm sure SLP won't take long to start producing the hood.

I'm sure GM will take the cues from Ford (mustang bullet edition) and Chrysler (top banana, copperhead etc) and do some runs of 1000 cars at a time with some special aftermarket stuff later on to freshen up the interest when it finally slows down. Right now they're just too busy building what they already offer.
Lots of heads at the top of GM are turning due to the interest this car is getting and the great sales numbers during these hard times. They're not going to let this golden goose get away! And they're not going to let the product line get stale despite having disbanded the performance team. The next couple years of updates should be real interesting for us all. It can get nothing but better.....

The dream will come true
Found my Dealer today. Signing the paperwork in the morning. Have had the painter for my extended strip idea for some time.
Now the search for an actuall ram air hood starts. Am going to keep both slots. STILL THINK IT'LL LOOK AWESOME  Thanks for the heads up with SLP but still no production hood for sale yet just the prototype I guess. That Red Camaro looks good but would look better in IOM w/ the mail slot & extended white stripes. |
