Nobody needs to drive my car but me.

I have loaned a vehicle to 3 people I love and trust. They each brought that vehicle back with dents in it, one brought it back t-boned and totalled. One didn't even get out of my carport - bashed the front fender into the upright. No one offered to pay damages.

If I had money falling out my butt I wouldn't care. I'm not rich, and I have worked hard for the nice things I do have. It hurt me that these people did not care enough to fix what they broke so to avoid my own disappointment in people I let them be disappointed in me for greedily disallowing them to repeat their destructive performances.

I've let my friends drive it and my parents drive it. I also let them drive my porsche 911 and corvette when I had them. I have a few buddies that had the cool cars back in high school and always let me borrow them for date nights and what have you so I pay back favor. I've given my best friend a set of keys to all my cars and bikes. He has taken them out on weekends when I'm gone for work, he always ask but it's no big deal.

The only time someone besides me has been behind the wheel is when my daughter moved it from the street to the driveway after I had been life flighted to the hospital for emergency surgery. I didn't find out until after the fact, but I was glad it was off the street.

My best friend drove mine right after his wedding, and I drove his truck home. The only person on the planet that I would trust my car to without me in it. He was definitely surprised when I threw him the keys! He was happy to drive a manual trans again, and his wife sure enjoyed it as well

i offer, but people seem to be afraid to drive it. they think ill kill them if they mess it up....which is true....but thats besides the point.

Had my significant other drive it for 15-20 miles or so, just in case she ever has to drive it (for whatever reason). Also let my nephew drive it - he owns a Vette and has had several other powerful autos in the past. He drove the hell out of it - it was fun!

Three times by three different friends and it has always been very short rides just to get the feel behind the wheel.

Only one person has driven my car besides me. My dad and it was for a test drive since it was having issues and he drove it like he was scared of it. Ha
