Bingo, and this is how they get away with it. if there's one, it's fine that there's more.

And if there were none before, you got any pics that prove we did it? can't win.

chips are probably from some a hole who burned out next to it. cant do a alignment without test driving it. cant check it going slow in the lot. still no way 5 miles in lot. thats a lie unless they have a test track lol

I should have bought a ZL1

If they had to test drive it 5 miles to check the alignment then I am guessing they had to align it more than once.
I don't understand the hate toward the OP, it is his car, he gave specific instructions and they were not followed. If the stealership had a problem with his instructions they should have told him or refused to do the work.

5 miles might be excessive for 1 test. unless they are not close to a place they can get it up to 55 60. in town is no good. Call GM dont wait for survey. mabyu add GM rep help to the title of this thread so one of the gm reps will see this. Good luck op

Sorry about your issues. Without dealership bashing, i took my car to a dealer in the HR area and had some body damage done while it was there i was left with the bill. so i claimed with my insurance company the dealerships info. may not have gotten them to pay for it, but its in the database now that the dealership was in posession of the car. if you need a good body shop, if you dont have one, PM me and i will give you info. on a shop out in va beach that does amazing work. Works well with Insurance companies and the guys there are really easy to work with.

That's probably why they offered some compensation.

If you can't prove it, they aren't responsible.
Yes.. I had two service writers inspect every panel... they did a detailed walk around inside and out

Lets try this again... read the principle.. let me drive your car.. chip it up.. and tell you that.. hey .. its three years old.. Its also paid for so I take pride in that as well.. You may not garage your car or detail it the way I do.. you may chose to eat or smoke in your car.. I don't... when you have something nice... you want to take care of it or to you its just a DD and a care to see how much you can beat it up..burn outs.. what ever.... This is apparently the same mindset of the dealer.. I tell you what... you make 10 payments on my car and then you can make a chip or two but until you do, the mindset makes no sense.. who pays over 30k or 40k for cars and does not take care of the investment?

Thanks so much.. thats my feeling as well.. they sent a customer service email from the head of service to see how they did before GM send their survey... maybe I will get a call.

sorry it blows when the dealer doesn't take care of your car.. 5 miles someone could of gone home for lunch.

pleasant attitude with customer service and time will over come the problem..

hang in there

That's good! And then they will say..."on what date was the appraisal done? Uh-huh. And what was the date of your service, sir?"

I contacted GM to file a complaint... They said I would get a call in 24 hours... at this point I would be happy if this prevent it from happening to one of my fellow Camaro owners

6000? in repairs? what did you run into? or was this a mechanical issue? Wouldnt it be expected that after an alignment that they street check it before returning it? Obvioulsy if you requested it not to leave the lot then that is an issue though..unless there parking lot is Talladega and they did two laps.
