If anyone here who has their dash torn aport (indpower!), can you look to see if the dash harness looks like there are un-used plugs? If so, that would be sa-weet!

Unless it's going to cost upwards of 500.00 or so, you can bet I'll be upgrading when/if it becomes available!

Someone's gonna beat me to it - I know - but as soon as I get mine, I'll be looking these guys up and mod-up my own dash ABL and maybe even illuminated door sills to match (like a lot of the Lexus' have)

Good info, I was wondering if they were going to have some retrofit for the dash down the road. Anyone who gets in my car at night oo's and ah's over the ABL, especially the ladies

Super cool feature and I hope it becomes fully integrated in the near future.

From what I was told by the Parts Dept at the dealership by me, the Footwell Ambient Interior Lighting Kit will be coming out in October 2009.

Ok guys, insted of reqading 4 ciomplete threads, I have but ONE question, and i hipe that someone will jsut asnwer without flaming me for not reading all 4 posts. so here goes, My IOM RS has the IO interior package, all of the pictures I have seen of the ABL are blue lights, in my IO interior are the lights going to be BLUE or ORANGE?

Wait, how are the dash panels not lining up irrelevant?

I have not really cared much about ABL on the dash but I could certainly be enticed into buying it for the right price if it retrofits. My dash panels line up really good. I was just wondering if the panels not lining up would make it look funny and make the allignment even more noticeable.

My wife's car is a 2009 Mini Cooper. They come equiped with ambient lighting on them as well. The difference is they have lights behind the door handles and two LED's by the map lights that point down to the dash and your legs. You can change the color from Red, Orange, Blue, Purple, Pink or shades between. And honestly, it was neat at first, but since then it's gotten a little annoying because you can't turn it off.

While I would like the option to change the colors of the ABL in the Camaro, I'm not sure I would be sold on the idea of it going across the dash. Also, it could possibly mess with your night vision on open roads and highways without street lights.

I actually forgot the car I ordered had ABL until the salesman showed it to me when I picked it up.

It's cool, but would look way better if it when across the dashboard.

It's my wifes favorite part. I don't see how going across the dash could be distracting when you consider how bright the guages are. I say bring on the kit.

It would be simple to have a dim knob in the car to tone down the intensity of the light in case it bothered a few drivers. Wouldn't that be the best of both worlds?

When you want intense, turn the knob. When it gets annoying at night, just turn it down.

So, my understanding is that some cars which have been sold have the ABL in the doors only, is that correct or do no Camaro's have any ABL yet?

If I'm correct and there ares ome with ABL, can someone please direct me to any pictures of what the current production cars look like with ABL on?

I like the pick on page 1 of I assume the concept car, I would like to see a production car.

It has LED headlights and wheel weights blacked out with Plasti Dip. It's Baller.
