There is A LOT more forced air flow into the motor with the positioning of the stock set-up vs aftermarket one. The stock set- pulls in cold "moving" air where the aftermarket ones have acess to stagnant engine bay air. Ideal situation would be to use the mailslot to have a forced ram air set up.

although we don't use the mailslot our intake is a ram air intake.

Again until I see dyno or track numbers to prove that any CAI will make more power than any other CAI I will buy the cheapest one I can find. So far its been this one.

I refuse to buy a piece of pipe with a K&N air filter and call it a CAI. CAI = Cold Air Intake. Until someone can actually make a true CAI I'll be waiting I'll leave mine alone.

I tell everyone to get the cheapest one you can find.... cus they all do the same thing. unless you want a more "pretty" intake

just make sure you have that heat shield! (the Hennessey CAI comes without, unless you want to pay another $100 for the heatsheild).

you can link to non-sponsors, ive been trying to get in contact with them to get them over here as a sponsor.

I would be careful when looking at those dyno charts for those short air intakes. A lot of times companies run those dynos with the hood open.

I personally will either get a ram air or a true CAI.

most everyone dynos with the hood open.... AND with a huge fan blowing air to simulate airflow while the vehicle is in motion.
