To do it again, no GFX for me, I do like the rear look and the sides are ok, but the front is a frigging cow catcher. I'll take some photos of mine in the morning for comparison.

According to Dave (?), the parts guy at Newman, the front piece will be available later in the year, probably Oct. or even later.

Had mine installed Friday and the front lip fell off yesterday, don't know if the service tech installed according to the new service instructions. I even emailed them the new info. I am now being told that it will be two week before the new parts arrive.

Has anyone received their's yet? I'm still waiting on my front lip and front lip only... Btw, my front lip fell off mid May, so I should have been close to the front of the line. The rest of my GFX is still on and doing fine.

Also I saw someone mentioned in the other thread that there is not a new design. Well... There kinda is... I believe it is the same exact panel, but the front edge is now installed using rivets. GM originally called for it to be installed with 3M tape only (this is how mine was installed, it failed at 70mph). So it is more of a new installation design, than a panel redesign if you will.

Hope this clears up some questions.
I just got my car. It came in on the 15Th. Without the GFX. It went to Tint then Paint for Stripes. Oddly the Following Day, the GFX Package Came in priority from GM. My Dealership to another day to install them.

They WHERE the new Version with the Added Rivets on the front and Back.

I do have images from the dealer installing them if you wish I can post them.

Picked up mine last Friday, the dealer said it would be a few weeks for the GFX.

Dropped mine off at the paint shop today. I was looking at the instructions that I found on the web and I'm a little concerned about the installation. According to the instructions, the front clip has to be removed, parts of the rear clip and the exhaust pipes require cutting. I don't think my dealer has installed any of these yet so my car will be the first. See my concern...

Mine were installed Friday...

...picked up the original parts this morning. So far, so good. I gave the Dealer's Auto Body Shop a copy of the Tech Letter on installation. Fingers crossed, hope that puppy stays on the front.

I'm "field testing" GM's installation instructions as I write this. I left St. Louis, MO last Thursday on a road trip through IL, KY, TN, GA, SC, and will be looping back to St. Louis later this week.

My 2SS/RS with GFX has seen constant interstate speeds as well as a couple 'bursts' to over 120mph and the GFX are holding strong with absolutely no movement whatsoever. My dealership installed this with the 'revised' installation instructions that included rivots and it looks as awesome as the day it was installed.

I am installing my gfx as soon as I can get my hands on them. I don't like the front very much and I am wondering (for you guys that have them) if it would look funky without the front lip. I don't want it to look like its missing something.

Well, that depends on if you paint the other three parts to match the car or not (which voids the warranty on the gfx parts, by the way). If you leave the other three parts the color they come in, the car may look a little strange without the front lip to tie it all together.

agree on this. like the front and sides...don't like the big square exhaust on the rear for some reason.

i'd love to have a gfx package, but i'm thinking i'll wait and see if gm or some other party comes out with alternative styles down the road...similar to 4th gen having several options...
