As a fellow V6er unless you like public ridicule I would not do it. If you have already I think you should reconsider. It's your car and you can do what you want with it but, it does not do you any favors. Now you could come up with your own package and give it a designation that would confuse people and make them go, "when did they come out with that model?" Like you could add some ZL1 parts and get Emblempros to make you a "Zrs" emblem or something like that.... You wouldn't be posing as anything, you would be unique.

If angrybird says something bad about a V6 it must not be good..

All jokes aside, as a former V6er, I'm not sure why you would want to badge it as something it's not.. Consider a mustang trying to be like a camaro.

That said, I've seen pics of your car and it's a sweet ride. No need to badge it differently.

And don't take the Camaro community comments as "unfriendly" we are just passionate about our cars, as it looks like you are to.

Never would I do it. However I would consider trading up to a xSS/RS (x being either a 1 or a 2) Thing is I'd have to find a SGM SS / RS and have enough Moolah on the trade in to make it worth while. Neither the color or the rs option is negotiable for me as I want both.

Badging a V6 as a V8 is posing no matter how you justify it. You will fool people who don't give a shit and be ridiculed, teased or laughed at by the people who do because they know better.

Eh, whatever. Your ride, do what you want. If you're prepared to accept little ribbing, do your thing.

Ya I guess the better phrase would be something slightly negative towards a fellow V6er..

I know you have that LFX Pride

Ok I'm going to put big RS emblems on front and back where the bow tie goes.
as soon as I can find some with black in the middle and chrome on the outside. I like Jmcsjcrs RS emblem. What do you have on the back of your car?

What pleasure do you get out of adding the SS emblem??? at the end of the day it's still an RS V6. I have a 2011 LS and have added quite a few RS package items including the OEM RS Headlights, but I will not slap an RS emblem on my car..

Well the truth is I wanted the SS but I didnt want to pay 100 more a month.i drive 40 mile to work so gas would be a lot$. And I want to drive my car all over California. So I have to say finding and putting new SS emblems made me feel better. With my regret of not pulling the trigger and being sensible.

I understand. But you have to be proud of what you have, not faking it to be something else. That shows that you are not proud of what you have and it brings your integrity into question. I wouldn't pretend that my SS is a ZL1 anymore than I would paint myself black and claim to be a black man.

It's not a huge deal, but to any car guy, if they know what to look for (lack of front air inlet, or wrong exhaust note) they're going to call you out and have a laugh about it. Stick with the RS emblems. I prefer minimal emblems, but I also don't own an SS or an RS packaged Camaro.
