A stall and gears are the next steps. Ported throttle bodies and ported intakes can be skipped for a while. I'd say something like that is saved for the time you go with your camshaft. Get rid of those God awful HEAVY wheels.

True. I just think I'm going to go cosmetic first since I have no immediate race plans. I want a nice car that will hold up as I don't plan on getting rid of it. $1,000 may make me turn better but it's a few k short of going faster I think.

make a plan and final goal for your car and work that way.

I have my final goal mapped out. I pick off the lowest hanging fruit on my goals. Or fix stuff as needed.

Suspension upgrades lightening upgrades brake upgrades etc can make you just as fast power upgrades. combine them and you can make a serious car for the price.

Converter & camshaft would be great upgrades. Depending on your goals, we have camshafts that go all the way up to 100hp gains without having to cut your pistons!

here's a rwhp graph from a VVT-3 camshaft. It makes about 7-8ish less than a VVT 4

Honestly, 450RWHP is the number that was in my head from the get go. I had a bit of disappointment when I read about the car being 400hp before I bought it and thinking "some headers and a CAI will get me to 450 easy." And then I found out I'm lucky to be pushing 330 to the wheels. I've been seeing a lot of threads involving cams that lead to total engine rebuilds. I understand the statement pay to play enough to know that I can't afford to do it. If I cammed my baby and she blew up on me I don't see myself having $4,000+ to make it driveable again that same week.

Honestly, I see myself supercharging her before anything else. And that's only because I can make the $6,000 a goal and aim for it. I could also start saving up to $8k, cam it and store the rest for a disaster. I just can't be naive enough to think I'm gonna smooth sail to 100k miles after a cam.
