Watch out for the pot holes. They are eating cars here in NJ. I saw on tv that Indiana is brutal.
Yea we have a few big ones around town. Luckily I memorize where they are and dont take my Camaro down those roads. I just got back from a 2 hour cruise and boy what a blast!!! Haven't driven mine since early December!

I agree...it was almost 50 here but the runoff from melting snow was on the edges of the roads, etc. Still nasty. Don't see the point of storing 4 mos and then getting antsy instead of only waiting another 3-4 weeks. My cars have never come out until snow has melted and a few heavy rains have cleaned the roads...usually late march-early april.

A dumb question from a guy who has never lived in the snow, what damage does the salt do to your vehicles?

Rust every where. Our 2004 work truck that we plow with during the winter needs the exhaust manifold replaced for a second time. rust builds up and expands it away from the block till it snaps the bolts holding it and then you have a nasty raspy exhaust leak. eats away and etches your clear coat.

Take it out, some idiot could hit you in the bright warm sunshine too. Don't worry about other people hitting you, it can happen anywhere and at any time, you'll never be able to drive your car.
Go have fun in it!

Not worth it!

If you can afford to store the car for the winter, why take it out and risk driving through a salty puddle?

Why Why Why would you put it in storage for 3 1/2 months to protect it from salt and take it out now just for a little spin. Did your brain take a trip to Camalot? Tis a silly place....

no way would i give my car a salt bath. the salt is powder on the roads and will get every were in every crevice you wont get it out. It takes weeks to wash the salt off our roads. They are white with salt.
