Ok I would appreciate if we got back on topic here guys. BlackCamaroSS if you have had a bad experience..I am sorry. But I would have to agree with alot of the folks on here tell you that I too feel that there is a fair process by which allocations go and it all makes sense. I think the only crooks here are no good dealers saying that they have allocation and then have a customer wait endless amount of months for their order to be pulled. This is the very issue I am trying to find out. There are plenty of people who have ordered from a reputable dealer and had their cars delivered on time if not sooner. Its all just a matter of what kind of business practice your dealer is doing. So if this is how you feel about GM and everyone that worked to get this car too us please do it on another forum. There are a lot of issues and a lot of can understand those issues while others can not. So please guys lets get back on topic.

Mauri, we are on topic. The allocation system dictates when you will get your car. You can post questions here until you are blue in the face, and nobody can answer them but your dealer. You say you think the system is fair, yet by the very nature of your post, you don't understand how the system works. Otherwise you would be talking to the dealers and asking them when your allocation will be filled.

And come back and talk to us months from now when others who ordered long after you did are driving their cars. Yes, there are plenty on this forum who have had a good experience, but there are a whole lot of them who have not, including many that ordered in October of 2008 and still have not received their cars.

I understand the allocation system perfectly, thank you very much. It SUCKS. And I will post my opinion again and again, just like all of the others who see this abotion for what it is.

As strange as it may seem to your feeble mind, I'm not the least bit concerned that GM seems to be more interested in taking care of the dealer than they are taking care of the customer.

I'd suggest you stick to playing your little guitar, and leave the posting to those that know what the hell they're talking about.

Man you sound like my 10yr old with all that childish name calling. Grow up some.

^ How about if you read more than a couple of posts in the thread up to #13 to see where the name calling began before you spew out any more of your nonsense, pal. And I guess you don't consider "sound like my 10 year old" to be name calling?

I just have to laugh a little at some of you people...

Well as far as first order builds are concerned I can only take a guess as to why they are still bayed. And I have called my dealer and have been calling others for allocation. I am very aware that my dealer might be blue balling me!

More to the point, if he has an open allocation, he knows exactly when it is, and all you need to do is pin him down.

I am guessing from what you're saying, he doesn't have one right now. What you need to do is find a dealer that actually has an available allocation.

Trust me, if I could be playing my "little guitar" right now I would be. Believe it or not, my "feeble" college educated mind greatly enjoys music and the thoery behind the progressions and scales that go into building a song. And whether or not you realize it, playing guitar is much cooler than going to a forum and talking s**t to people you don't know.

I've been in the business a long time, as was my father, as was his father. I know more about what goes on than you can imagine. Since you know how everything goes, you should have gone to a dealership that had a higher sales volume, and therefore, better allocation. Maybe then your car would be sitting in your driveway right now and we wouldn't have to read your posts.

I placed my order on 6/29/2009 and I am still at 1100. I ordered from Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, TX. I emailed my salesperson today to find out why it has been a month and I am still at 1100. He sent me his list of orders today. I am number 130 of 180 of orders that have been placed. I don't know how many in front of me have already received their cars. Classic Chevrolet has a bout 30-40 Allocations/month and they are trying to get more. I guess for now, I will wait on my Camaro like alot of other people. I know it will be worth it.

That's all wonderful, but I actually did go to the dealer with the highest sales volume... in the United States, literally.

In fact, that was most likely my real mistake. So despite your advice based on years in the business, I actually will probably receive my order from a different dealer that had an open allocation but lower sales volume.

And I'm so very proud that you're college educated, but might I suggest that you don't have that market cornered, and furthermore that it doesn't make your opinion any more credible than anyone else's.

First off.. I did read the thread from the begining, which is why I posted what I did.

You are apparently not grown up enough or mature enough to hold a civilized disccusion with anyone on here. Seems like all you want to do is prove how smart you are. Which all you are actually doing is showing how stupid you are.

I appoligize to the OP for small rant in your thread. Enjoy your Camaro and be safe.

So the person who thinks name calling is for 10 year olds has no problem calling someone stupid. I continue to laugh at you.

No, I'm quite capable of holding a civilized discussion with anyone here. What I will not tolerate is being personally attacked or being called names, by anyone, including you. Understood?

Your play on fbod's words is nothing more than an idiotic attempt to make a company seem dumber than they actually are. Allocation is based on performance. GM says "if you sell more cars than the guy down the street, we will give you more cars because you are selling them faster and therefore making more money." If this doesn't make sense to you, I am very sorry. Please stop polluting our boards with uneducated rants about how bad GM sucks. It's not good for anyone.

I don't want to start a flame fest but.... You have completely made BlackCamaros point. It was stated that the allocations were a government mandate. You just stated that the allocations were a GM mandate to reward good dealerships. That was the same point BC was making ......

Wow that was quick.
