Take it back, be calm, point out what they did, and wait for there reply. If they are a reputable dealer they will make it right. If they don't then you open up a can of BBB on there a_ _!

oOoh.. how I wish this forum was around back in the day, because now there is so much exposure where you can post pictures, gm customer care people are always lurking around, and Camaro forum becomes a powerful tool for the people to get on there soap box and be heard! I have seen first hand the leverage this forum has, and it's great! I know I will use it if and when I have a service issue.

I've had dealer installed damage more than once and on different cars. That's why I hate when I need a warrantee fix - because I have to worry about how they won't threat the car carefully.

I've gotten in the habit of looking the car over inside and out before leaving the dealership. I also make a point of telling them that I'm going to also. I feel rude doing it but want them to know I'll be looking for any damage.

Don't feel rude doing it, insist on the service advisor be present when you look it over. It's your right.

What everyone else said bring it in, if the service manager doesn't take the high road and it's a chevy dealership talk to the customer care manager. They'll generally make the service dept. eat the $20 to save any kind of PR issue or phone call from someone.

what is wrong with these the dealership service depts.? their service deptartments are a hugh profit center for them and all too often you hear these horror stories about the damage that they do and that just makes customers stay away.it's a no brainer : do the work at a fair price , do no damage and the customer will return over and over again
