I looked at it as when you fire it up immediately you hear the louder exhaust for a few seconds. The actuator then closes the valve... then come 3K+ it will start to open. (I would admit i did not watch from idle-1K). I swear there is one company that makes all of these solenoids...it looks (by memory) like the ones I had on the GT3RS. I disconnected those (had to in that case at the controller up top that powered the vac unit) because the change would drive me nuts at that rpm and was to much OFF/ON"

This is the correct operation of the NPP Exhaust on the ZL1.
