I too have a 2013 2SS Convertible and I bought it new (leftover stock) the day after Thanksgiving 2014. I noticed that the HUD did this a few times and reported it when I brought it in to deal with some post-delivery deficiencies they needed to fix. Over the winter, it didn't seem to happen again. Just this weekend, I replaced my aftermarket winter rims with my stock rims and noticed that on my way to the gym tonight the HUD did the fade in / fade out deal again. I'm not sure if it's weather related, or related to my tires, but it's an interesting coincidence.

So I've had my 2013 Camaro SS since Nov 16, 2013. I love the car, but I have an issue with my HUD. The operation of the HUD works perfectly well, my issue is a physical defect.

There is a thin lens on the top of the HUD that cuts the glare down. it is held by adhesive at the top of the plastic lens and at the bottom. The adhesive at the top is peeling causing a large glare on my windshield and well as I can't see the info from the HUD. I've taken the problem to a few dealerships and finally got the entire HUD replaced. It has been roughly 5 months and it is happening again.

Has anyone had this issue, am I doing something wrong, and is there a way to prevent this from happening again? Thanks for any and all help.

YES, that is a known problem! I have it going on right now. Waiting to see what the gen 6 looks like before I get mine fixed. It gets worse over time. Seems to be the 2013's. GM is aware of it, take my word for it. I can't say anymore "daddy" may be looking at my posts.

I noticed my radio info only displays on the HUD when a device is plugged into the USB port. It does not display songs from the AM, FM, or Bluetooth sources.

It also displays radio info from Sirius/XM. The source (AM, FM...) should also display but not the selections.

This is a common problem with Mylink. My unscientific remedy...turn the ignition off, remove the key and open the door. Then count 60 seconds. Restart, should work.
