Anyone else confused about this post? If you park almost on the left line if the parking spot you give your self minimal room to get out/a passenger in another vehicle a good chance to door ding you. And if you park almost on the right line you give your passenger a tight squeeze/the driver of the car beside you to door ding ya? Why not park in the middle of the parking spot?

I feel you i always park away from everyone and when i comeback theres always someone next to me. Out of all da other parking spots. Idk camaros get alot of attention maybe ppl just wanna park next to one. And that truck gave the respect so you can open the door all da way and not hit someone lol

How's this for an assumption!

Just maybe and only maybe, he left it in neutral and slowly rolled back after he left. I've seen it before and believe I have had my car(s) roll back after I did the same thing. just cant picture someone saying "hey this spot looks good"

Don't always jump to conclusions!

That was MY first assumption... but the way the wheels on the Jeep are turned, it doesn't seem likely. With the wheels angled that sharply, it appears that the driver stopped right there, and bolted.

I'm leaning more towards intoxication... any drunks stumbling around the commisary?!?

But the REAL question is: What in the hell is on the hood of the blue and white car? It seems to start with "HEA..." but it trails off from there. Heat? Hearing? Heaves? Hea... what? I can't think if anything that makes sense on a car like that.

I laid awake all night wondering about that.

Apparently the parking space sizes themselves are the problem if they put peoples vehicles in harms way of getting dinged up. If the spaces where bigger, then maybe everyone wouldn't have to worry about parking. I blame the size of spaces. IMO a space should be wide enough so that a door on any vehicle can't touch the vehicle next to it when fully open. It never made sense to me making spaces that only have a few inches between vehicles. Of course you're going to have people taking double spaces. Who the hell with a nice vehicle wants unnecessary dings and scratches?

Back in the day... when I was in the Army... I had a squad leader who was NOT the brightest bulb in the box. My squad was tasked one day with repainting the parking space lines on the just- repaved parking lot outside of our barracks area. Sgt. Einstein figured the way to do it would be to measure how wide a car is, then paint the lines THAT distance apart. To my credit, this lowly private tried to voice the opinion that cars also need room to open doors, walk in between, and so forth, but the nincempoop non- com would hear nothing of it... he is a SERGEANT, you know!

So, we spent the day carefully painting lines to parking spaces that were the width of a car. Even then, a car would need to have it's sides greased in order to shoehorn them into each space... opening a door wide enough to slither out of the car would not be possible, however, even for a contortionist driving a Miata.

We spent the NEXT couple of days painting OVER those lines, and repainting lines spaced far enough to pull in, open the damn doors, and walk past the vehicles parked on either side.
