Maybe if you call on star and give them the date your car wassuposed to be at the dealer they can possibly see were the car may have been drove to with the GPS tracking? Don't know how long or if they even keep it on file? Good luck & that really sucks donkey ball
That's an awesome idea. I didn't even think of that. If they can give you useful information on that...+1 OnStar!

When I take any of my cars in, a service ticket is printed up of what they are doing and my name address and mileage of the car is all noted on the ticket that they review with me and I have to sign it before they even begin the work. What kind of dealer did you take your Camaro to? Also if you didn't notice the damage when you picked it up good luck trying to blame them for it. You have to realize that for all they know, you could have a curb exiting the dealership.

It isn't a scratch in my wheel, it's a deep gouge or a crack. The center of the damage appears there was an attemp to fill it with something like Bondo. Someone tell me how to post a picture and you can all give me your opinion.

I am not as concerned about my car being driven as I am about the wheel damage. Would they have to take the tire off of the rim to replace the tire pressure monitor? If so, Parker you are probably correct that they used the wrong tire machine.

I checked the receipt and the mileage is written on it but I've driven the car for 3 days since so I have no idea what the mileage was when I picked the car up or when I dropped it off.

Note to everyone including myself, ALWAYS note mileage when you drop your car off.

To post an image in the quick-reply box, click the little picture icon that shows a mountain and a moon, then paste the URL (it has to be hosted online somewhere: myspace, facebook, flickr, something like that) and that's it. I use imageshack.us to host my pics that I post.

Wow this is the third thread I have read like this. But this happens often with alot of people's car everyday. Which is why when you are leaving the shop you should always check the recorded miles and take a walk around with a manager or someone of authority showing them nothin is wrong with the car and it should remain that way. To the point where I don't even fill gas in my car when taking my car to a shop, I make sure the gas is conviniently low to a point where they wont be able to drive it around much at all without having to fill gas in it. I hope you win this case. They better pay up some big dough for this. The repair can be fixed and the car can be tuned, but the damage is done what now, a fix just isn't good enough!

As a former Chevrolet dealer Technician and Service Manager, let me tell you what might have happened:

New muscle car, free test drive.

I believe the service manager will help you if you have any problems getting the wheel fixed correctly.

I didn't notice the miles that was on the car when I dropped it off but I think someone has been driving it. My clutch feels different, not as stiff as it has been since I got the car. I decided to wax the car and found a crack about
2" long in my wheel on the same tire they had to remove to change the tire pressure monitor It looks like someone tried to fix the damage to my wheel but stopped before it was finished. I'm sure it's going to be a big fight with the dealer for them to admit that the damage happened in their shop.

There would be no reason to move the seat other than forward or back to simply drive the car into the shop. It's like the seat was changed to be comfortable for someone that took it for a ride.

WTF happened since I dropped it off??

I have a picture of the crack in my wheel but I can't figure out how to post it.

Nothing Good. Always, Always inspect your Vehicle before leaving the Dealership, Shop or anything place that does work on your vehicle.

It nearly Killed me to hand my keys to my Truck to the guy at the Exhaust Shop and go back to work. I have a hard time handing my keys over and not being able to keep an eye on my vehicle.
