For sure top notch! Within 10mins of having a question Mack and I were on the phone with Joe walking us through the problem. I should get mine finished up this weekend. I can't wait.

I went with the standard halo kit and I used the diffuser rings. I didn't do the frosted mod and they're still crazy bright!! I did buy another SL module but I haven't hooked it up. I am going to put the drl rings on separate channels so they can be different colors as well as another strip in my hood scoop and footwells.

DIY DRL Halo Diffuser Ring Modifications
How will I set the drls to be on separate channels, Joe? I got the SL module in the other day and I haven't had a chance to look at it much. I am going to do footwells as well using it. Do I have to cut a hole in the SL box as there's nowhere to put the wires?
I bought 10 ft of the rgb wire I hope it is long enough to go from the drls to wherever I put the SL module... Probably not now that I'm thinking about it. Another picture of the orange. Looks like the promo pics.

The SL module should have come with an instruction sheet. The instruction sheet and hookup diagram is on our website store on the SL Module page. The easiest way is to notch the edge of the case with a dremel big enough for your wires to pass. |

FYI, 1/2" caulk-saver rope also fits in the diffuser ring.

Band saw, or, oscillating tools are about the only other options. Some of my customers just used a utility knife for opening the tail lamps. These are similar in construction, so, that may work. It will just take a lot of scoring.

If you find something flexible in similar material you could make one. I was thinking of getting the demon eyes from AAC but putting them inside of diffusers for the headlights if I ever get brave enough to bake them open, but I'm hoping I can simply use the same diffusers I have for the fogs if they're close enough in size
Which they're probably not But as long as you have enough $$$ anything is possible! |
