I wasn't seriously considering trading mine 2014 in back in Oct., but I was curious what the dealer would give me, because I was toying with trading it for a C7 Vette. So I had paid 68K out the door and the car had 1500 miles on it at the time. Dealer offered me 50K. 3 weeks earlier after I had just bought it the dealer was telling me how this car would hold its value, then when I played around with the trade, He tells me " they just aren't bring the money", Seriously its all comical to me.

It's worth what someone is willing to pay you for it. Dealers, private sale, or whatever. Buy it to enjoy it. No modern ZL1 is an investment I don't care how rare the color or how low the serial number. It's almost laughable how many guys on this forum brag about the low price they paid for their cars and then complain when they get the same car appraised and find out it depreciated from the "below invoice" price that they actually purchased it.

Please just realize that the game you intend on playing( the I purchased it lower than you or I got more for my trade than you) will never be played better than anyone employed at your local Chevy dealership. Sorry but that's reality.

To reiterate buy your car enjoy it because that's the purpose of it.

Got a2012 equinox LTZ and a 2013 camaro. Both received offers for buy back that was actually a pretty decent offer. Love both of them though. Not gonna happen

I practice the buy a car you really like and drive it 10 years angle. I'm never disappointed at the value that far out because my cars are always exceptional and I've gotten a lot of use.

The ZL1 is special to me so it will be a fair weather car but I will drive it, leave it in parking lots, etc. enjoy!
