Another good reason to not eat or drink in your car. It's not big deal anyhow. Clean it up and move on with your life.

How about this... Don't eat fast food! Then you don't go through the drive through and risk the spill! LOL. Ya, kinda kidding. But reality is I have not had fast food in 18 months and (along w exercise and overall eating better) weigh 50# less!

Seriously though...remove the seat. Soak the carpet good w mildly soapy water, rinse, shop vac very well, cool fans blowing on it to dry. Pain in the ass, but will be just fine.

Not to be a di*k to the op but i was thinking the same exact thing. I dont eat fast food but i do down a pepsi every single day (yea yea yea total contradiction) and my bmi is 5.4% (hit the gym pretty regular). On the other hand op, its a car and nothing to cherish or get bent outta shape over pal. Pull the seat get some warm water (in a bucket), can of tough stuff cleaner spray, clean, spray again, wipe, dump water, and go over it again with clean water and clean rag, towel dry vacuum up residue, place seat back in place and enjoy.

To all the people saying "its just a car"..

Some of us had to work pretty dang hard to own this one thing we really love and are proud of. To some of us, its not just a car, its something we worked very hard on in life to have. I couldn't get my new 1LE until after two combat deployments, to say my car is just a car kinda pisses me off considering what I had to do to get it.

With that said, it will be hard to clean, but you can do it. Just takes some elbow grease! It'll be back to like new before you know it, don't sweat it.

As a detailer heres how I would handle it. First off, always avoid chemical cleaners unless it really necessary. Many folks go right to them, and they actually set some stains, and further many are very hard to rinse, which means the carpet may be sticky when its dry.

Carpet. This method works amazingly well if you dont have or have access to a hot water extractor:

Pop is sticky, duh. Take a fair amount of water in a plastic bowl, heat it in the microwave until it is nearly boiling. Then transfer to something you can pour out of. Take a shop vac and your hot water and pour the hot water onto the carpet to the point of puddling it while also chasing it with the shop vac. Do not be afraid to completely soak the carpet as chasing it with the shop vac will not allow it to penetrate much under the carpet liner. The hotness of the water will break down the sticky pop and turn it back to liquid, and given the newness of the stain it should all vacuum out without a problem. When dry the carpet should be nice and soft like normal and there wont be any chemical smells left from cleaners. "If" the syrup leaves a faint stain I recommend Aerospace 303 carpet cleaner. This stuff is really amazing. Apply the same method as the water, just not as much. Saturate the the stain, DO NOT SCRUB, let it wick for about 5 minutes then suck it out with the shop vac. Then flush it with the hot water chasing that with the shop vac to rinse.
(***for other members, that method works well with candy or gum in carpet, as well as dirt staining. Lots of things are water soluble)

Leather:
The leather in the Camaros( and all new cars) are coated with a urethane clear coat. Further, the sides of the seats are vinyl. Even thout the surfaces of the seat are real leather, when you clean your not really following the methods of real leather as the clearcoat will not allow traditional leather cleaners to absorb(** I know of only 3 brands of the leather cleaners/conditioners that actually address coated leather and the molecules of their products are tiny enough to absorb past the clearcoat down into the leather, and thats Zaino, Leather Masters, and LLT solutions) . Given your seats are brand new, the only thing at this point I would use on it, is hot DISTILLED water dampened cloth. It will all wipe completely off. I say distilled water because tap water has minerals, fluoride and chlorine added to it. When you put tap water on a plastic interior surface or leather, it can dry with a whitish like haze. Distilled water is 100% completely pure, it will dry with no residues or spotting. Use the same method on the plastic panels. Your car is brand new, theres absolutely no sense to use a cleaner for something hot water will clean.

Good Luck with it.

Pretty simple to remove the seat. Slide seat all the way forward, two T50 torx screws in rear of rails. They have loctite on them so can be difficult to get started, mine didn't give me as much trouble as others seem to have had. Once screws are out lean seat forward, there is a connector under seat that has a sliding tab locking the connector on, use a flat head screwdriver and slide the tab in the connector to the right I believe it was. Once connector is out you have to lean seat forward and pull the two front hooks out and seat should lift out from that point. Good luck OP

I'd take the seat out, then rent a rug doctor from a grocery store or somewhere(they come with car and upholstery attachments) for $20 or whatever they charge for a day and just stem clean it.

Reach way outside the car when they're passing something. Liquids are a lot easier to clean up off the door than the interior.

I feel your pain. I parked my car at the furthest corner spot possible leaving about 2 feet of leeway on the parking line. Some asshat parks over the line and opens his door as wide as possible and hits my car. I had to polish it out and check like a nasa specialist to see if there was a dent. Fortunately i don't think there is. Had the car for a month only. They're gunning for us man!

Exactly, if you eat in your car and go through the drivethrough it's only a matter of time before you get a mess. Too bad it happened so soon.
