hmm that 20% looks perfect I was thinking of going with 35% just for laws sake but argh I just may have to go with 20% and just bring the windows down around cops. The dealer said they would tint my car for free but learning about metallic, carbon and ceramic tint (I had no idea about b4) I'm rethinking it.

anybody think of getting a strip on the windshield? I was thinking about it until I realized how small the windshield is. A strip would cover about half of it.

Same ticket for 35% and 20%. The legal limit is 70%

70% is the legal limit in NY not 35%. I'm thinking about doing the strip on the windshield as well, but like you said, it'll cover a good portion of the windshield. If I do tint the strip I'll probably use a lighter shade.

That's what a cop told me once with my Caprice (I had 20%). But really whats the point of 70% tint . Guess if your going to do it go all the way right...hmm 20% is calling me.

Yea man I hear that about the strip. The windshield would look good with a full tint too but light like 50%.

hey guys I got my car tinted 35% all around. I just have an issue with the windows coming up and down a little when the doors open and close. This made the bottom of the tint come up a little. I'm getting them redone for free so its ok but did you guys have this issue?

Nope, none at all. Did he put the tint below where the top of the door meets the bottom of the window??

RAFA, what shop did you go to? This is why I started this thread. To find a quality shop and avoid issues like that. Like Destroyer said, they were supposed to install the tint on the window into the door panel so the bottom edge wouldn't rub everytime the windows rolled up and down.
