I purchased the Z/28 Spoiler and the Wicker and when removing my spoiler on my 2014 2SS I noticed I have paint rubbed down to the metal. Took it to my dealership and talked with their service manager and he's making some calls about it today.

I am wanting to replace the original spoiler with the ZL1 and, of course, the rubbed off paint shows through.

I have an appointment tomorrow morning with Midway Chevrolet in Phoenix where I purchased the car in Dec 2013.

I guess my questions are -

Has anyone taken to the dealership and had it fixed?
Is this really covered?
Will they have to repaint the whole trunk lid, or will they try to just touch it up?
What about the stripes that are on the trunk? Would that be covered?

What is your opinion?
Any help and advice is appreciated...
Just give an update the trunk spacer/spoiler kit is less than $17 p/n 22785872Yes they still have issues with this for all years mine included 2015. I just pulled mine up and checked... I think a visit to the service department to address this issue and cover it under warranty..

New or old, if your trunk lid is repainted make sure that 3M spacing body tape (or something similar) is placed on the trunk lid before the spoiler is reinstalled or the correction will be a waste of time.
