I can't get on the interstate without someone trying to race me, it's incredibly annoying. One time I had a POS truck try and race me, I don't understand what some people think.

Idiot in an Audi about a week ago, I just smiled and watched as he took off. A little ways up the road a small SUV pulls out into his lane they see each other and both dive into the left lane. The Audi winner was sideways in the road as I went by, thank goodness the SUV escaped......probably a mom with her kids! I felt like stopping and opening a can on him.

I like giving POS car drivers some hope by giving a mild passing effort at first...then letting them "get ahead."

Then when my cruise control finally catchs me up to them again (cause they really didnt want to go that fast in the first place) and they start to try it again, I lay waste to their newly found confidence and watch them disappear in the rear view.

Even the "high output" 2.8's didn't crack 135hp, if I recall.

They had a nice growl, but when you stomped on the gas, they kind of ran out of air rather quickly.

Then again, minivans today have close to 300hp. Times have changed.

Never quite understood, are these threads a pointless bashing thread so there can be some camaro-bonding?

I mean...how many times can we talk about how "great" we are and talk down to the imports?

smh

Happens at least twice a week to me. Was picking up some new tail light bulbs at Advanced Auto, as I started my car and proceeded, a guy in a honda civic with a fart can looks at me, then passes by me in the parking lot flooring it.

Talk about dangerous.

I had a 84 Firebird with the Iron duke 2.5L with a 4 speed. MAN that thing would go.......sometimes........eventually.......maybe.. ....

nah, its not that at all. Its just, how many times do we need to go through this?

I love this forum, but that topic is about as old and beat to death as the V6 v. V8 argument, or the stick v. auto.

Not sure this applies but in the last 8 hours two brand new Kia Optima "SE" editions have tried racing me. They have two exhaust tips so their cars must be fast right??

As often as they do about us.... Ever listened in to a group of them in one of their parking lot meetings? This is g rated compared to what they say about American muscle cars.
Why do you think they drive the way they do around Camaros? It's not because they like us so much....
