I use the balanced mix for really light to moderate weekly cleaning and that will keep an LSP intact for sure.

The SPW mixture will degrade or remove LSP's to some degree. If the wheel saw rain since its last cleaning since the brake dust turns to more of a slurry in those cases that is a little more substantial.

Obviously, best practices would mean a touchup application of your wheel protection should you choose to use the SPW mixture.

Wally Mart, and maybe auto part stores, sells a detail brush which works pretty good. Very soft and about the size of a magic marker. It won't get all the way in, but u can't see down that far anyway.

Probably been asked/answered a bunch of times, but... after cleaning, what's the best way to polish/protect the factory polished wheels? AFAIK, they're clearcoated, right?

They are clear coated. Polish like you would your cars paint. Then seal them with your preferred sealant.

Just clean with soap and water and then polish with Adams detailing spray.

Adams detailing spray has no abrasives in it. Therefore there is no way you can polish with it. Also, it would be a good idea to give your wheels more protection than a coat of detail spray. It would make cleaning them much easier.

Yep, treat them just like any other painted/clear coated surface. Use paint polishes to remove defects if they exist, and then seal them up and you'll be good to go.
