I have black and boy do they look good when clean! I'd get a clear bra and splash guards on there ASAP! I hear ya on the fuel consumption part! The V6 Camaro is a well rounded commuter car! I do 60 miles a day in mine! Got the looks, got the economy, smooth ride, decent enough performance, and fun to drive! I came from a supercharged V8 and boy what a difference in weekly fuel money! I admit, I long for a SS for the pride of ownership and more power = more fun aspect and I really like the Camaros and of course would like an upper model.

But every time I go to look at SS's and get behind the wheel of my RS, I instantly lose the interest because I like driving my RS that much! Such a smooth laid back ride for a sporty car! And I dunno... even in the v6 it seems like I'm pulling 100 feet from the cars around me at a stop light in no time at all or it seems like everyone is holding me up in front of me.... what would I do with all the extra power of the SS anyway? There's no debate on the sound of the engine though... can't beat the sound of a V8. Hopefully they can make V6's sound good in the future instead of a mechanical vacuum cleaner sound, lol.

First nice ride, second you or anyone else need to explain your decision between V6 and V8.I thought this was Camaro5 not Camaro-V6 or Camaro-V8.

I own a V6 Because:

I do not have the money for a new V8, only a V6.
I need to save money on fuel.
I don't need the extra power of a V8 for anything.
I'm happy and content with the V6 styling and power.

Why you'd get a V8.
The styling of the car is a bit different.
The sound of the V8 is great.
You have something to do with all that power.
You wanted the extra options in a V8.
You had the money for it.

Nice!!!.. No one should bash you for not getting a SS!!.. Premium gas and bad gas mileage will dig into your pockets.. No way I could use my SS for the daily commute.. Weekends only!!

I like it, but what do I know.
I have the money because I have a V6.
What's not to like?
