SO i wonder if I get the car tuned if it would take care of the issue? Is a tune good or bad for the car? Never have done it.

It does wonders for waking up the hidden potential but will void your warranty!

It wont' void the warranty. If they can prove the part caused the problem (like I believe in this case it did), they will not cover it under warranty, but you will still have a warranty. So, if your sunroof or NAV takes a dump, you're covered, etc.

Magnuson-Moss act says so.

I guess the Vmax ported TB paired with the rotofab intake is just too much for the car to handle.

If the cel comes on it stores a code and if the dealer hooked it up they know what did it. I had a cts that the cel would come on for a minute and go off. Happened about once a month, I got a obd reader and got the code, Googled it and found the reason. Obd readers are pretty cheap or borrow one from a friend.

To be expected with a modified TB. You're going to have to tune it or ditch the VMAX.

It's a mismatch between expected airflow and actual airflow. The PCM realizes something is not right with the throttle body. To prevent a runaway throttle body it shuts it down.
