I ran the Mantic 9000 for about 6 months and had about 60 or 70 drag passes above 800whp before it let go on me. It would probably be the perfect clutch for 600-700whp because it drove really well on the street. I talked quite a bit with Steve at Monster clutches and they had not yet put together their newest triple when I needed a clutch ASAP. They offer a no questions warranty and the prices are good compared to others. Their clutches are rebuildable so a failure can be rebuilt at less cost. I don't know what they have now but I would consider talking to them. I currently have the RPS/ Hendrix street slayer triple carbon clutch. I have about 30 drag passes and 9 one mile runs on the clutch. The engine is out of the car right now and the clutch has no signs of wear at all... (I've never had that happen before). I launch the car between 5-6K rpm and have a 3.23 rear gearset so I have to feather the clutch for 30 or 40 ft to get 1.4 or 1.5 60 foot times. I always no lift when straight line racing. The clutch is getting very hot and when hot, it does not disengage as well. I'm installing braided steel clutch line, larger capacity slave cylinder and dedicated clutch master cylinder to try to improve the function when the clutch is extremely hot. But despite the heat this clutch seems to be unbreakable...even by me. Lingenfelter has it on their site as the RPS, I will post a link or you can PM H-E from Hendrix, I forgot his name but he is always helpful if you have a question. Hendrix is the main distributor. http://www.lingenfelter.com/mm5/merc...=#.U6MTwbE0rdI http://www.hendrix-engineering.com/

Matt and I were doing the math the other day and figured I have over 300 passes on my Z with no issues other than blown cats.

I think for the money and how well the stock clutch holds up, I'll be putting the stocker back in the car when it goes. Seems a lot of you guys are having great luck with it, even beating on it from time to time as I do. They are cheap and it will be delivered to the dealership next day for free, and really easy to install if you have access to a hoist.

Best Clutch Option for 700RWHP?

How much is the stock one? Might be a good temporary measure so I can drive the thing at least - trying to avoid dropping $3k until I close on the house I'm buying haha!

I usually can tell by how long it takes me to clean the brown stain off of my passenger seat.
