^^^^ Mine was the first summit white on the road in Ct as far as I know. August of '09 was a blast-
Drew crowds wherever I went. Even at Valdosta Ga fest #1 there were only 4-5 new summit white Camaros.....
The good old days now.

For a car that is supposed to come out next year, this might be the best GM has ever done keeping a secret. There is virtually nothing factually known about this car, except it will be built in Lasing on a version of Alpha. I guess this time they have the convenience of having a Cadillac body on the prototype cars. Supposedly at some point this summer you will start seeing camo'ed cars with Camaro bodies.

I tried searching the web, and with the 6th gens being so highly researched my results are muddled. I know there are a few guys here that ordered the 5th right after they were announced so lets see who wins the first correct answer cookie!

I personally don't care what they look like, I am more curious of confirmed trim levels, engines and prices. I know they have a list from GMI, but that list forgot the TT v6 of which I have my fingers crossed for. If they in fact only turbo a 4-banger I'll be looking for babied V8's
GM made the announcement on August 10, 2006 that the Camaro would go into production. Approximately 2 years later (Aug 08) they gave out the first preliminary specs for the Camaro. These were expanded upon and revised in the winter of 08-09. In March 2009 the 5th generation Camaro went into production.

We likely won't hear anything about the 6th gen until at least the LA Autoshow in November, and I would bank on it being Detroit in January.

That was a concept car, not an announcement of production

That would be rather difficult seeing as the first day of production was March 16th, 2009. I was at the plant and met Rick Hendrick when he picked up his car. There were pre-production cars built before then (we saw a number of them up there that day), some of which may have been sold off after being part of the CTF program or something. But the first production car, by definition, came off the line on the first day of production.

If I remember correctly the '15 will start assembly some time this month (maybe even this week?) and start hitting stealerships on or about sep-oct?
Also remember, it had been (what) 3 years since there even was a Camaro in the GM line-up. Not so now. They have their market established and don't need to tease us 3 years+ in advance.

I was one of 125 people invited to the private unveiling of the concept Camaro. It was at the Convention Center in Detroit on January 9, 2006. When I saw it, I knew I would have to have one. Ordered early August 2009, was built on 9/14/09.

Let me ask my contacts. Hey do do you guys know when the 2016 will unveiled? J/k, I always get tickets for press day for the LA car show and their saying we'll see the 2016 there. Of course I'll do recon with lots of pics.
