How about GoPoint? Are they a reputable company? I ordered and paid for my OBD a week ago and it still says awaiting fulfillment as the order status. Damn right I am awaiting fullfilment. They sure did not waste any time charging it to my card but they don't seem worried about getting me the product.

Well I got mine from Amazon last August but it hasn't been in stock there for awhile. I'v never had to deal with the company as I haven't had any problems with it. Have you tried contacting them to see what's going on?

Edit: Just found this on their Facebook: BT1 components have arrived at our office. Product begins shipping the week of 28-July. Thank you to all of our loyal customers who have been so patient!

Ram mount messed up and sent me an iPhone 5 carriage instead of the 4s I ordered. They said they would make it right and send the 4 carriage right away. Cool part is I have the 5 in case I upgrade the phone in the future. Still waiting on the GoPoint OBD.

Mine plugged in and Harry's picked it up w/o any issues. There are other apps out there that you can use with it as well. I just leave mine plugged in all the time unless I go to the dealer.

Harrys Laptimer plus this OBD II for $8 http://www.amazon.com/ELM-Bluetooth-...obd+ii+scanner is a great set up for your first time. If it doesn't work well enough for you...then buy gps...and poss upgrade obi.

Setup was kinda a pain with it but once I found directions posted on amazon I was able to get it going.

...the only issue I have found w/this obd is that it kinda sticks out when your driving so you have to be conscious not to hit it with your leg. You can prevent this by buying a cord.

..and this obd is good because it connects to phone via bluetooth. So you can connect go pro via wifi and have two video feeds/angles.

Just so everyone knows that device cannot be used with Apple Products.

That is strange. I use that device with my iPhone 5. Not sure why you have issues.

I bought all of this after I got the iPhone, Harry's was 1st written for the apple, you can use old apple phones for multi-cameras and it is all tied together using the cloud.

This is iPhone camera, not as good as Go Pro, but it can do it all with a cheap app.

It's well documented all over the internet that the only bluetooth obdII device that will work with Apple products and all app store apps is the GoPoint Bluetooth adapter, perhaps you have the wifi version or you jailbroke your Apple device to get it to work over bluetooth. I'm not trying to come off as a smartass here but If you do have the Bluetooth ELM OBDII adapter working on an non-jailbroken Apple product then please do share how you got it to work.

The only supported Bluetooth OBD-II device is the GoPoint BT1. The other options are WiFi devices (see above).
Bluetooth products typically use their own proprietary protocols, which requires special cooperation from the device manufacturer.

Harry's Lap Timer is a great app too no doubt, Back when I first started doing my vids it just didn't fill my telemetry and occasional picture in picture needs I had. All of the apps have come a long way, I'm glad too because it pushes the companies to compete to make new features and push each other to keep up with the other.

...After further review I found that I had my setup backwards. I bought this OBD http://www.amazon.com/Wirless-Diagno...obd+ii+scanner for $20 and utilized these directions:

Worked fine for me in just 5 min- just slightly flaky on initially connecting - but Iphone instructions weren't completely clear so here's the step by step that I did:

1) Plug it in to ODB2 port under your dash and set the car key to the ON position (don't have to start the engine) to read more data (wifi should work even off though)
2) Find the ELM wireless network on your iphone (settings - wifi) - mine said "CLKDevices" click connect
3) In iphone wifi settings change from DHCP to static
IP 192.168.0.5 (any ip other than .10 should work)
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Router 192.168.0.10 (you can probably leave this blank actually)
4) Get an app - I didn't research much and mainly just want this as a code reader and used Engine Link - (Torque Pro, Rev2 and many others should work too)
5) In your app connect to "192.168.0.10" and "port 35000"
6) Mine sort of connected (got a green light in app) but didn't get live data - I disconnected the wifi, turned the key to off and back on (and maybe replugged the ELM back into OBD2 port?) and it started working, stayed connected and I could pull CELs (trouble codes) and fuel/ live rpm when I started car etc etc.

Wifi Range is short - make sure your iphone is not reverting back to 4G or your home's wifi autojoin network if you are having problems.

Make sure to get the ELM327 Wifi version if you don't want to have to jailbreak your Iphone for Bluetooth (Android phones shouldn't have to)

FROM Review #1

then my go pro connects via bt
