Drag Times correction says it would be 12.88@113mph if it was sea level conditions? I have no idea how accurate corrections are for things like this.

The Vette ran a faster time and higher trap speed.

Nice hole shot..

Am I missing something? Did the vette run 12.74? Faster but lost out at the launch...could see the vette spinning and get sideways a little

Good for OP getting the jump. But if they both had launched same time you woulda got worked. Would change the title from "ate some vette" to "definition of a drivers race"

Agreed 100%

But the Vette still ran faster overall right? This would be like me getting in a foot race with Usain Bolt. Yeah I could get going first but he would still faster in the end even if I did cross the line before him.

If this was a street race situation then yes the Vette got ate up. But with times showing it's kind of hard for me to wrap my mind the Vette getting ate up if his ET was .14 less.

Who the heck waits for the light to turn green? Someone trying to lose the race??

Utah/RMR is a killer for 1/4 mile times.. Our DA is on average above 7k feet! From what I've seen, cars will generally run close to a full second slower up here than sea level. About the only place I can think of that has it worse is Bandimere in CO.

Nice kill!

Best regards,

Way to represent.....our cars dont get the respect they deserve...funny..when i did some racing a month or so back....i went 12 -6 on the day....lost to some full on race cars...a shelby gt 500 and a 5.0....which i beat more times then i lost....even the fans in the staging lanes [it was done on an old runway] gave me props on how hard the car ran.

Good job

I've been posting on another thread over this exact topic and some ppl are having a hard time believing me. Sure, the car is more than superior in performance but driver skill is a huge factor.
