I looked through their photos on the web site of the Camaros they have in stocl to see if I could spot it, in the event it was a mistake (or joker) at the factory. None that they have photos of have the emblem, so it was done post photo or post sale.

Either way, its good for a laugh.

what gives away that its a phony? i want to know so i can spot these fakes out here. ive seen a handful of fake 392 challengers so im positive there are a few phony ZL1s roaming around as well.

in that blurry photo, two obvious things.
1. The spoiler is a SS/RS spoiler. (note, this is the right spoiler for a ZL1 convertible as it is different from the coupe)
2. Tail pipes. ZL1's have 4 (2 per side). This has 2 (1 per side).
3. Not sure, but tires may be a giveaway from the back too. SS tires are not nearly as wide as ZL1 tires.

There may be more, but that is what I see.

Taillights are also a giveaway. And if im not mistaken there is no spoiler on that car. That is just the lip on the trunk you are seeing.

Yeah, tail lights are all LED on the 14's and up ZL1's.

Not necessarily, all NPP exhaust has 4 outlets. You can get them on different models. Not just a ZL1.

You guys have way better eyes then I do. I can see any of those things, the pic is to blurry.

NPP is the dual mode exhaust you can order on many models now. It is no longer only on the ZL1's.

I don't care but your not fooling anyone but yourself when you do this and anyone who knows will laugh at you rather than complement your car and the rest dont know what a zl1 is anyways....but yea it's your car do what you want.
