Sweet car for me it would be hard to get rid of a 4th gen that looked that good.

Thanks! I have definitely thought about the ZL1 rockers with the matte 1LE behind the front wheels.

Permagrin is contagious
Three days on the road, paint protection and Elite catch can installed, deer whistles waiting for hidden install. Saw some kinfolks and a couple in a head-on wreck with me five weeks ago. The wife is still in the hospital, making progress. Nearly home, tired but happy. Gaining speed leaving next to last town a young guy hanging out the passenger window of a Nissan waving like crazy, looks friendly enough, I roll the window down. He's shouting "I wanna take a picture of your car, I wanna take a picture of your car." I hold my speed and move over to widen out the shot. Flash fires a few times, he pulls up and waves. He continues his observation fifteen miles nearly to my sub-division but I made sure he wasn't watching my last turn. Don't know what his pictures will look like well after dark.
Allow me to publicly thank my wife for nursing me through a cracked sternum and cracked shinbone that required surgery. After waiting several months my 2014 order turned into a 2015 and the dealer wanted to "re-evaluate" my 2002. I held the miles down but it needed a wash. My wife carried the hose and kept a chair close-by when my flamingo hop tired me out. The dealer stuck to his original offer. Success! Immediately after the wreck I was in too much pain to use crutches so she would set me down and pull me up to use a walker. For the first three weeks I barely needed legs thanks to her. She never griped but she heard plenty about the driver that hit us. The doctor is supposed to OK my gear shifting next week as long as I don't walk on my left leg. I will not confess to jumping the gun.

Damn! Glad everything turned out OK with you and your wife.
I must say, in the 2 weeks that I've owned my 1LE, I've gotten a lot of people just staring and looking at it. It has a very awesome styling. The dealership here had never even seen one of them before they ordered the one I purchased. They all loved it, and everyone was telling me how amazing the car looked. And even yesterday, I pulled up to my parents' house, they were outside talking. I thought something weird was going on, so I asked them. They said they were just admiring my car to each other, and that's coming from the 2 people that tried to persuade me into NOT buying the car. I've seen people weave in and out of traffic to get into the lane next to me to look at it from the side and give me a thumbs up. Never had that in my 5.0 Brembo Mustang GT. Hopefully you love your 1LE as much as I love mine, and as much as everyone in this forum loves theirs. |
