Amen Brother!

I have the lite bent version and love it. Holds up to speed with no problems.

I used the foam Command strips from 3M. I put the strips where the bolt holes would go with the non adhesive tab hanging down. I stuck the plate half on the bumper and half hanging over the grill lower grill opening. I can reach behind the plate and pull the tape and take the plate off.

Just be sure to clean off the area with alcohol prep pads and it will hold pretty good. The plate sits nice and flush.

Jacfab only makes the Bent version for the ZL1.
It lowers the front end even more, and just does not look good to me.
Unfortunately, there are very few options.

I employed the stock bracket, inverted, and held in place with toggle bolts.
The V shape on the now top of the bracket perfectly matches the V shape of the portion of the splitter on which it adjoins.
Looking at it closely on the car, it appears almost like a stock installation.
The plate angling down has gotten it some looks, but nothing more.

I used a Corvette Grandsport bracket upside down. I took screws out of the splitter and used them to mount the bracket. I used wing nuts so I can take it off anytime.

I have posted a thread on the same topic. Lot of people suggested me the Jac Fab and so far it is the most affordable store. I hate being in Texas only for one reason. Front license plate... Its a $200 fine for us. And our cops/troopers are the worst, if they stop you.. u go home with a ticket!

Lowers it more? How much, 1/16th of an inch maybe. Sorry but yours looks weird to me.

nfortunately, there are very few options.
If that's good for you, bro, then, awesome. To me, the JacFab looks better. I don't care for how it slants downward.

It sucks to have a front plate, but, JacFab to me looks the best. Centered and to the contour of the front.

Gotta tell you, I really think if you are in a state that needs the front plate, stock location looks the best to me, that's just me. Of course the car looks better without a front plate period.

I built mine using flat stock and like it quite a bit. There is a post on here about how to build it http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...+plate+bracket (although it took me a heck of a lot longer to build than the 3 hours the post estimated).

No drilling necessary. The brackets attach to existing holes. Plate sits perfectly straight up (no angle to it). Maybe $25 in material?

Texas is surrounded by states that do not require front plate. If you have friend or relative living there register your car there in a bordering state. You won't get ticketed in Texas with an Oklahoma rear plate and no front plate.

Here in Wi. they require a front plate . I'll be damn If Im going to put one on. About 50% of vehicles do not have theirs on. I don't have one on my 4Runner for over a year without issue , BUT maybe I'll get picked on more in the Z than the 4Runner.

FWIW I traded my 09 C6 in for this Z and never had a front plate on that either , never got stopped.

If you get stopped for something else and have a Texas drivers license, they can get you for not having your car registered in Texas. I think you have only a month or two to do that when you move here. Not worth the effort.

Has anyone seen the z28 front bracket yet? Curious to see how it looks/works. Apparently there is a z28 specific designated bracket for states that require a front plate, and seeing how every other part of the car is performance engineered was wondering how they continue that in the front plate.
