Just saw a G8 get a V8 swap done, not impossible, but not cheap. With enough $$$ anything is possible.

I'm following to see how long it takes for you to
A. Give up, reverse the process while you still have a chance
B. Give up, sell on craigslist,
-be like: everything needed to complete, just don't have time
C. Give up, hack job the car and turn it into a drag car with most of it still missing
D. Succeed, sort of. Electrical gremlins, and mechanical dilemmas will HAUNT you til you revert to option B.

Best of luck, hope you prove me wrong, but IMHO the mods should make a sticky out of why not to do this so no one on here says "well how hard can it be? I got this."

I'm not understanding why. With what you could get selling your 2LT and the money you spent on the donor you could have bought a SS.

What's the difference in getting a SS at your age VS the engine swap? Both methods are just as likely to get you killed if you wrap it around a tree.

I can't imagine it being cost-effective. It will be fun to watch, though. Can't wait to see the progress!

Seriously?

Surely you can think this will be the same thing.

Why not just buy an SS?
(and no, it's not the same thing... You CAN buy a Camaro with a V8, you could not buy a Pinto with one, LOL)

Please do not compare a 70's car/engine , to a 2012 car/engine !

I can't get insurance through State Farm. I'm only 17 years old.
