It's on ours ,my daughter's, and my daughter in law's 2014. I'd be leery of having some heavy footed service guy in there scuffing around with his work boots on to replace it for the minor thing it is. Seems access to the trunk would be necessary as well. Otherwise , I find it difficult to imagine that somewhere in the quality control assembly of all of these flawed panels, that it's not known about by GM. Someone must have decided to rectify it on a case by case basis since it's not readily visible. But maybe they're preoccupied gluing down those pesky airbag stickers on the passenger sun visors.

Maybe that flawed area is a good place for some sort of sticker of its own. Like maybe a Transformer sticker. Or perhaps a good place for a Mr. Goodwrench bobble head.

I'm willing to sign a waiver for the panel replacement if GM will authorize my dealer to give me one of those Camaro ball caps they sell. My dog chewed mine up..........................twice.

Yep. I tried everything. The dealer also tried everything and it's still there. So they decided they would replace it. Downside is it's been a month and it's still on back order.

And here I am, and thought I was the only one. I sat back there to try to wipe it off but no luck. It's not really a big deal for me but what's up with the quality control?

my back panel is actually pretty dirty with what looks to be water spots, but I didn't notice anything like that. Tomorrow i'll give it a good clean and let you all know.

Here's to hoping the 1LE doesn't have that mark!!

Wow, I did not know that this was on a lot of cars and that it has been on back order for so long.

I would imagine since that is where the third brake light used to be it was a problem with the redesigned mold..........

Had my car 6 months and never noticed until now. Seems like something that won't bother me too much, I hope.
