Thats todays generation I guess, putting huge rims on anything they can find, bikes, scooters, cars, trucks, go karts, shopping carts... Although I am apart of the generation I understand the benefits of having 18 - 21 inch rims on a sports car.

Back in the day... my friend received a $100,000 lawsuit settlement. The first thing he did was purchase a brand- new IROC, which he fitted with ground effects and mods galore. Looked great, for a couple of weeks, until he slammed it into a tree. Of course, somebody as rich and a hundredthousandaire doesn't need insurance, so he had none. He drove that new IROC around with a bashed in door and half of the windows gone for quite some time.

(Last time I saw that dude, he borrowed $2 from me, so he could put gas in his girlfriend's mom's ratty, barely running Monza. He hadn't a penny left to his name--- except for the $2 I gave him--- six months after his windfall... his last purchase/ possession was an older Corvette, which he lost in a poker game)

OK Slack, just what are the benefits of the 18-21" wheels. Old f@&t here and just don't get it. Also what is the deal with some that lower there cars and look just to me anyhow.

18" wheels come stock on the LS, which is what I have, and I love having more tire than rim. 21" i think should be the limit, you begin to run out of Tire. Anything above that you then have to lower your car to make it look right and risk rim damage from lack of tire as padding. Just my 0.02$

Shouldnt the title of the thread be "Crappy 5th Gen Owners"?

I mean really...its not the car's fault the owners are shite.

May be just me, but I really like that car. I would never ever ever ever do it to mine, but it is so bad that it is good!

I'm saying the cars that you see could be salvaged cars that they hope to fix up because a lot of Camaro's out here are salvaged ! Everyone can't afford. these cars!
