Can't wait til I get my cat back, throttle body and cold air intake. Hello 30+ HP! I gunned it today and the car really is amazing fast. I'd just like to hear it a little more.

After the warranty I'm doing longtubes and supercharger (if I can afford it)

I have had to change my commute into work because of road construction. I went from 3.1 miles to 4.5 with a little highway. The highway drops from 55 to 40 and I'm usually still doing 74 or so in the 40 zone (traffic dependent). I just can't drive this car slowly at all.

My wife even says the car is dangerous! I thought my Firehawk was bad, this thing in crazy nuts fast.

My mom is 61,she had a 2 mustangs back in the day, she also drove a 9 second race car. Well she had to drive my brother's manual SS for some reason. She tells me that she got on it a little bit "Holy Shit, my head flew back, man that thing is fast". I cracked up laughing. My mom is pretty cool 61 year old woman. Then she said "Your Camaro is not a fast as your brothers".

Even with the stock V6 it doesn't take very long to get to the speed limit... Pretty impressive.

I just started to learn how to do burnouts but I love the on ramps to the highway, I get on it more than I probably should but I love the sound.

I am with 100% these cars are fast and smooth. I have to constantly watch the HUD so I don get in trouble. 65-75 mph just feels pedestrian in this car. I daily drive a pick up and I know when i get up over 70 mph in that but not in the camaro.

I carpool with my wife in a 2010 Malibu 4 cylinder, so that nice dose of reality allows my Camaro to feel blazing fast when I take it out for a rip!

Mine does on the hump closer to the windshield..but at much higher speeds. Can't say how high or Im sure this thread will get closed.

I am also with the guy who had his mom in the car, floored it, and she got pissed My mom literally blows a fuse and a couple time has hit me haha. I make sure to do a quick jerk of the wheel to let her know hitting the driver isnt a good idea.

Spend so much time below 2000 rpm to keep gas mileage decent that when I do get to get it over 4 or 5k it feels like an animal. I love my car. This is the first car I've ever had that I didnt eventually get used to or bored with and I've had some pretty fun/nice cars prior.

STOP IT!!!!

I am just after 2000 miles and have let my car really go a bunch more. Only mods are VMAX TB and AEM air filter (APEX catch can too, but no difference).

The Camaro would WALK my G35X and it gets going so hard after 4000 RPM that I gotta get off it and catch my breathe.

The ride is so rock solid smooth, and even the NPP with the windows up seems a bit quiet, but I have no idea how anyone complains, this car is silly fast!

In college I drove a crappy built 383 stroker motor Camaro and my car now would eat it all day long.

Love me my Gen5. Glad Oshawa built it.
Mine was fast from the beginning and then I installed headers, a CAI, and got it dyno tuned. It's a whole new animal now! Whoever said that LS engines love long tubes, sure knew what they were talking about! My only complaint now is that I can't keep rear tires on it. I think I'm going to have to buy stock in Pirelli!

I havent ran my SS hard yet and probably wont but I do know anything above 4000 rpm's the LS3's come alive like you wouldnt believe and thats why I have a hard time believing a 5.0 Mustang will outrun a Camaro ss.

From a slightly different perspective...

I also ride sportbikes.....mostly 1000cc. Even without any mods, those are stupid fast. If you want to feel a real adrenaline rush from acceleration, give a bike a shot.

Admittedly, I LOVE (love, love, love) my 2SS...and it puts a smile on my face every time I turn the key. I love the acceleration and it's better than other cars I've driven...

....but.....
After riding sportbikes, I'm always wanting a wee bit more from my 2SS. I'm not sure I'll ever get it in a car. Perhaps it's due to exposure to the environment, the intimacy with the machine, etc., but a bike always gives me ten times the rush.

Still, both are awesome and I feel very lucky to know that rush.
